My brother and I were watching this movie and the scene where Lenny is taught how to walk with confidence, my brother tried it out in school and he said that walking alone made him feel more confident and people began to notice him.

Wouldn't we all! If only all of us who were like Lenny had had somebody to come along and rescue us. But at least there's therapy.

First he teaches the kid to smoke, then he gives him some weed as if they didn't know what weed was in the 60s! He is a HORRIBLE role model and guardian angel!

If you watched this movie, one of the first things you should notice is that the timeline doesn't add up. When the race happens, the girls are wearing poodle skirts and the guys are dressed like greasers. Those are 1950s and very early 1960s styles. It wasn't the late sixties hippie era. Even though they would have known about it, greasers did not smoke pot, and many of them would refer to cigarettes as "weeds". The whole point of the movie is that Bobby isn't a good role model or guardian angel at the beginning and then he grows into the role. That was kind of hard to miss.

ugh the getting high scene disgusts me. it's supposed to be funny but i don't find it funny at all. you may not care, but i don't think doing drugs should be celebrated. it's against the law for a reason. i don't care if you "only do it once", or it's "only" weed... it's still stupid.
