Technically, doesn't this violate your 80% rule? Because in these situations like the beep test, it becomes 100% difficult. Doesn't it also violate the 2nd law of the deepgame because you literally have to try very hard to keep going here. And there's no effortless way to go through these situations.

nah not really, the 80 rule is about building habits making steady progress. No it doesnt the hidden gear is a tool not a continuous thing, the 2nd law is about playing. The hidden gear is sum you use when your tired

Law 2 is about not trying too hard for some RESULT (like points, or victory, or beating a specific player etc).. this hidden gear is about trying hard in the process.. like if you're very tired at the end of the game, but got to push through
