Thanks, Justin. Based on your recommendation, I purchased the Blender Secrets e-book; it's fantastic!

Yes! Very nice seeing Justin covering this tool. I use it on almost all of my models nowadays & saves loads of time trying to match the sides & angles etc to each point of another model/object. Definitely worth checking out! Highly recommend it if you're doing architecture & needing everything (Vertices, Lines etc) to be independently scaled accordingly to your liking.

Not sure how I missed this and thanks, very useful but one thing you mentioned was "apply scale". It's in my favourites menu and I know about alt-S. I do this over and over and over again but it still gets really old. We need an add-on that lets us either "uncheck" scale so we can scale things but the values always remain at 1 or done in preferences. I doubt I'd ever uncheck it! I'd pay for it.

Thanks, Justin! The "Blender Secrets " ebook is a touch pricey, but for well over 1800 pages (freely updated), it's really very reasonable!

As a long time Sketchup user, I was missing this type of scaling tool. But it seems that at least for Blender, this tool exist, it's just hidden and I don't understand why this is not the default mode since it can give so much control over the origin and direction of scaling without having to mess with 3Dcursor. Why? Why is this not the Default mode?

Hi Justin. It is a nice tool, though i hardly ever use it. A little side note: When you use the scale cage, you can also rotate the objects induvidual together 😕😆. Maybe useful for some. but again, i hardly use it. I've got another unrelated question though. How did you manage to get your Bonny in your start-up? I've been digging true your tutorials but i did'nt find anything on that topic. Maybe i did not look hard enough. 😂

snake may man ........ delete the cube and import what ever object and "save default file" and on restart it will be there. I use a human model for scale purposes.

@@mrhollywood5285 Thanks. That is a useful tip. And replacing it with a human model for scaling puropses was exactly what i had in mind.

Is it possible to only scale something with the scale cage on a specific point? Like, can I tell blender I only want to scale things with a specific handle if I'm scaling something that is 0 units in one direction and don't want to accidentally scale it on the axis where it's 0?

Hello thank you for sharing all these helpfull videos. I am new at blender and a bit confused about sizing. I have a STL file female model with 60cm height, designed in another software, and it shows 6000 cm dimention in blender. I am using metric units and cm in lenght. Why it doesn't show the correct measurements? When I add a cube next to it, the cube looks like a very tiny dot. The cube objects is 2m. Is it really 2m in dimention? It doesn't make sense to me :( 2m is a very large object and it looks like a tiny dot next to my model. Also models turn black when i use the edit mode. I tried a few things suggested by other users but none of them worked. Could you please make a video about these subjects? Thank you so much

I just wanted to use the regular scale tool, found it accidentally, couldn't get out, options didn't have anything. I just want the simpler scale tool
