Did you know that in the mid 17th century Hounslow Heath was considered to be the wild west of London?! The culprits? Highwaymen!
With their roguish and dashing stereotype these armed robbers who travelled by horse and stole from rich travellers were bizarrel glamouised becoming celebrities in their day.
Intrigued by this fascinating history on my doorstep, in this episode I set out to follow the heath's history hike to uncover more!
Featuring Moll Cutpurse, John Rann and Sixteen String Jack!
