Maam, For the past few days I have been watching the show and making the notes. But I am a bit confuse as how to revise it? from monthly magazine or from notes only. please suggest.

Hello Arghya.. If you are a beginner, you should make syllabus-wise notes for every subject. You can make digital notes as they are easy to edit.. Under any particular topic, you can make notes from DNS video/ DNS pdf.. if you find that topic in monthly magazine, do look for additional info (if any).. You can revise your notes weekly/monthly & do update your notes if you find any development in that particular topic. Your focus should be to complete the UPSC syllabus, not just to study current affairs.. Also, look PYQs to understand the importance of any theme. Hope it helps!

You missed one point here.. we are pumping water in upper reservoir when we have excess electricity.. as we already discussed that electricity produced from Renewable sources like solar & wind is highly unreliable.. so, pumped storage system serves two purposes: 1. It can store excess electricity produced. 2. It can be used to release that electricity when the demand is more or when we cannot generate enough electricity from RE sources. However, there are some energy losses in the process. The efficiency is around 80-90%. Nevertheless, pumped storage projects can provide efficient energy storage solution.
