When did Nigeria English changed like this? In the 1960s and 70s Nigerians spoke very Clean and Clear English. I dnt know why recent years the tone and rhythm has become something else,...Just compare the language of the people in the Video to the Lady doing the Narration,.. is far different ,....what Happened ?

This is indeed an eye openner of the Nigerian political history. One thing that is predominant in various milltery intervention is really the toxicity of power. Each military ruller claim to be driving by the general good. But their various tenure seems to unvail the appetitive nature of an unsatisfying man. History its repeating itself in another dimension. I.e the leaders who rule before without substantial positive report, is still assuming power. And which makes Nigeria rounding in one particular circle. Who can take us outside the box (circle).... The big question?

Point of correction: In Ghana in 1969, there was a handing over of power from the military (NLC) led by Gen. Afrifa to a civilian administration (PP) led by Dr. Busia. Hence it cannot be factual that the first military to civilian transition in Africa happened in Nigeria.10:39

I think Ex President Obasanjo doesn't get the credit he really deserves in Nigeria's history--stabilising the country post the 1975 military coup, focusing on local production including agriculture, unselfishly handing over power to a civilian administration when it was unpopular across the continent and the world really, staying out politics, then returning several years later to midwife the 4th Republic and doing that reasonably well.

And then? Is Nigeria a better place to stay today? The answer is no. All those things were cosmetic if they were real it will reflect today's Nigeria but rather he enrich himself and hand over to civilians to cover his dubious + Mago mago policy. Please lets be real as Nigerians we are all suffering from this mess from the elite.

@@aleesaigwebuike1240 I think President did his part and in my opinion, he did it well enough. Unfortunately, governance is like a relay race, no matter how hard or well the first runner runs his leg, the team's final position is determined by the contributions (or the lack of it) of the other runners. I submit that President Obasanjo ran his leg relatively well but the team has been let down by subsequent runners. Some have dropped the baton and even run backwards sometimes, reversing the initial gains on our celebrated return to democracy under President Obasanjo. I think this is the reason for our nations current position rather than the lack of effort or progress under Mr Obasanjo.

I had a dream that Buhari turned government in Nigeria to authoritarian rule. He killed anybody that didn't side with him. He had so much hatred for non Fulanis. It was like everything he was doing was to cause civil war. People were hiding their heads for fear of their lives. Everybody was afraid to confront him. It was a horrific dream.

I appreciate your attempt to catalogue the history of military/civilian rule in nigeria but it doesn't feel very concise. I think that it does succeed in highlighting the ineptitude of successive governments over time. Perhaps this indicates a need for change? A new direction maybe if true change is desired
