Josie, just wondered if you saw the BBC programme from Chelsea Flower Show earlier this afternoon.A lady was using beautiful pressed flowers like yours to create artwork by painting them and pressing them (with an iron) onto fabric to create pictures you can frame. Although I commend you and Charlie for becoming property tycoons, I do feel sad/bad for the neighbours of both rental cottages. Oh , I know you keep them immaculate and I bet you have great guests--but it does start eroding at the "neighbourhood" feel. I should know, I grew up in a beautiful town in Ontario (Niagara -on-the-Lake), raised kids there and intended to retire, but soon most houses on my street and MANY others were B&B's. The area became soulless. Hard to put into words, but when your close neighbours are different people on a rotating basis, so much is lost.

I totally agree with the comment about losing the neighbourhood feel with Air b and b properties. Sadly developers are attracted by the money it can bring them and this is more important for a lot of people than keeping a neighbourhood. feel or worrying about what neighbours think especially when they are not actually having to live there themselves. Unfortunately a sign of greed and lure of social climbing ?

From South Carolina here - I too wish I could wear the long sleeve summer shirts and jeans but it's not possible here. I can dress like that in March and maybe a few cool days in April. I also think Josie looks amazing without a tan! I'm being treated for a couple of skin cancers now and wish I had had sunscreen in my early years - I'm old enough to be Josie's mother so we didn't know a lot about sun protection when I was Josie's age!

Rose, Josie glad you got your drone and it's working fine. Not sure if you guys know but the fox gloves come in a beautiful apricot colour as well. Have you also thought of putting in dome agapanthas and hosta in that area, they will add texture and help hold the banks stable and come in complmenary colours Loveing your garden. In just over 3 weeks i will be home in France and see my garden for the first time in just over 6 years, i wonder what awaits me. I adore the quintessential British white wrought iron table & chairs! Would love that here but can't find them. A funny story for Charlie. I managed to Press Gang my hubby into helping me remove some Dutch Iris bulbs (that were not doing anything) from a pot into the ground by my woods. It was chucking it with rain! No issue for a Brit here! Hubby grumbled so I told him to stay indoors while I dug the bulbs out. Well, I dug & dug until I got nearly to the bottom of the pot to realize I hadn't planted any! Hubby was a very happy camper! Always love your videos and might get into wearing dresses again.

Clare Mackintosh and Plum Sykes are great authors maybe try also Ruth Kelly :) very talented gardener and friend must be hard for you I am glad you have each other and family. Happy Birthday to your Mum Josie all the very best wishes. You should have a print made of your cottages or pups and make kitchen towels or totes for shopping available for your guests with their rooms something they can take home to remind them of their stay :) maybe agapanthus for your garden ;) you need a gardening chapeau Josie ;) something with a wide brim :) also maybe an aerator for your pond might help your algae issue. Maybe you need some lessons on drone usage if you contact Billy Petherick through his channel her on YT 'Doing it ourselves' channel he can put you in touch with his friend Dan who is a photographer who does drone footage professionally. I hope your guest was ok and nothing untoward has happened.

Oh Charlie! Outdoor shoes on in Strawtop?! 😱🤦♀ Wow that was so lucky with the drone!! Interested to see how the tanning drops go, I saw you squirt rather more than "a few" drops into your serum 😅😅 but I'm getting that way with the Beauty Pie tanning drops as I don't notice a difference with just a few drops - do you? Love the DE almonds, especially the orange ones and I've been thinking, "how hard can it be to make your own" so you've inspired me to have a go, I wonder if they would improve by roasting them off a little before coating them with chocolate? What a cost saving too as the DE ones are pretty expensive aren't they?! ROSE - I always make it to the end 😘
