Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed the video! Like mentioned in my description, I'm actively working towards archiving/organizing the sources that I've used in my videos. I've found it very frustrating multiple times (which I've mentioned before) how difficult it can be to find the true source of something. One story can be quoted by a famous KZitem Channel, and multiple articles are written about that story, quoting the KZitem channel, but if that channel or no one else produces the original quote, it can get lost to time. With that being said, I've created a google doc (and will create new ones with each video) of every source I used while writing and editing the video. You can check it out on a google doc here: docs.google.com/document/d/16oyjn9mfPRkE2psB8OyjSns9QAd-2EfH9hxfd9y6kBM/edit?usp=sharing Please let me know if you find any oddities/missing sources and I'll update the doc and make a note in the description, and comments. Please work with me as we continue to further the Video Game History community by citing sources within the videos, and creating a database that others can use to research off of. Thank you!

Please make sure to be fully hydrated when you do any form of public speaking. I can hear it in your voice, and it makes your video unwatchable for me. Please fix it in any future videos.

You've got great content, mate! I bought this game at my local Wal-Mart in 1997 for a paltry amount. I still have this exact copy complete in box so this game will always be special to me.

This was the first game I bought with my own money. I was a big fan of Mario and RPGs. Didn't even have a SNES but I HAD to have this game (luckily, I had friends with a Super Nintendo, so playing it wasn't too difficult).

Man, first Square Enix, and now Rare. But decades later, they finally put aside their differences... I hope.

Square is going bankrupt with their "being Sony's dog, begging for scraps" plan, so they are breaking away and going independent once again. Microsoft has much bigger toys to play with now, so they don't care if little old Rare goes and plays with their old friend to make a little money and try to figure out how a 7 year old handheld is beating their super box.

The box also has a coupon on it that gives you a 4000 yen discount on a Super Famicom.

Love videos about development of games/the history of them. Would absolutely love to see more especially on some titles that went on to become amazing games but went through hell to develop like Halo 2, Fallout New Vegas, Super Smash Bros Melee etc. Great content!

I remember playing this game summer 96' with no internet or strategy guide- We had to really use our brains in the 90s!

Oh yeah, those were the days. I recall getting my first true RPG Dragon Warrior in the mail for free with my subscription to Nintendo Power around 1990, when I was like 9 years old. I didn't even know what an RPG, but it hooked me for life. Somehow, I beat that game and later on, many other RPG's as a kid with nothing but a few random tips from Nintendo Power magazines. Funny thing is I tried playing some of these games decades later as an adult and was baffled, almost quitting before finally looking at some strategy guides online. I suppose when I was younger, I'd only get a few games each year, so I was far more dedicated to figure games out myself. As an adult, you get spoiled, having unlimited numbers of games to play.

Square is woke these days, so unfortunately it is bad timing that Nintendo is now working with them on SMRPG again. If we get a long awaited sequel it won't be good, which is depressing. We're just lucky the remake was mostly unaltered, sadly Paper Mario: TTYD wasn't so lucky...

I thought that random encounters in JRPGs were because of technical limitations, yet Super Mario RPG was able to show the enemies on the map on the freaking Super Nintendo, so what's the PS1 and PS2's excuse?

It would be sooooo nice if you could say what somethings costs in US dollars the moment after you mention the cost of something in yen. I've seen this being a trend and I gotta pause the video, open up a tab, Google it, then come back to the video after I'm done checking any numbers given in the video. Awesome job on everything else though!!
