I am 55, lived a life of abject loneliness. A month ago, a gorgeous young woman exploded into my heart and soul. Every night and every day feels like a lifetime of pure LOVE. I played her this song on Valentines Day. I expected a few tears, but by the time that bridge finished after that first chorus, both of us were crying our eyes out. We played it 7 more times that night. She insists on waking up to this song every morning. We both still get misty eyed, realizing what each of us is giving the other. This may not last forever like in the movies, but our Love for each other is burning brighter than a whitest of white stars. If life tears us apart tomorrow and I live another 30 years alone, I will die knowing what complete love is...

And of course, you need to listen to Nash's later band, Crosby Stills & Nash aka Crosby Stills Nash & Young. Check out Nash's song Our House (about Nash living with Joni Mitchell). Also, check out the band Crosby & Nash. While you are at it, check out Joni Mitchell's album, Blue

The Hollies is one of my favorite bands, as is The Beatles. They both recorded at Abbey Road Studio and the Beatles were known to drop in on the Hollies when they were recording. The Hollies actually recorded “If I Needed Someone”, which I absolutely adore. I read somewhere that George didn’t think their version was special enough. I will always pick studio version over live with the Hollies because there are so many layers of instruments that are left out of live performances (unless it was dubbed with the studio version). Carrie Ann must absolutely have the steel drum solo, and it isn’t always on live versions. Tony Hicks, low harmony and guitar, is totally underrated. The Air that I Breathe makes me bliss out, as do the Doobies’ Another Park Another Sunday, and Three Dog Night’s Out in the Country. I can only find one reaction to each of those songs-they need more reactors to listen to them.
