Mine uses 45% getting to work because it's all on a incline, that's 3 miles away, I was really worried on my first ride that it was going too fast, but going the opposite direction mostly down hill, I only used 10%, which reassured me of my purchase, 55% isn't bad for 6 miles I guess.

I'll present my own take. But this one with comparison. Electric scooter are small, you can bring them inside a public transportation like a train or a taxi. With small wheels means it's not very good on poorly maintained roads. The battery will not last forever, and in 5 years time you don't know if you'll find a replacement battery for it. Does manufacturer still going to maintain it for you. Now compared to a bike, folding bikes are also small so you can bring it inside train or taxi. Bigger wheels are 16 inch or 20 inch it is better than a scooter when the road is poorly maintained. There's no battery to worry about. Moat shops can do maintenance for it and parts are not proprietary technology. Folding bikes aren't all shineshine and rainbows too as it requires better fitness for rider to cover same distance with an electric scooter
