I find it hard to believe but unfortunately, it's hard to find any information about the later years of those animators, producers and directors of these cartoons. Ive only ever read Of Mice and Magic once and do not recall much about their lives. It was mainly on the animation industry back then.

The bit where the wolf instructs the taxi driver to follow the cab in front and he ends up doing EXACTLY that but leaves the wolf standing where he is for me anyway is pure GENIUS!!! Why does his voice change? I mean I know at one point he's pretending to be a debonair Frenchman but at other times he sounds like a goofy rube and then it switches to gruff gangster or something.

The first part of the cartoon that is missing probably sets this up and clarifies what is happening with his voice. My guess is that his voice change is situational. The goofy rube voice must be his real voice. He talks like a gangster when he's in tough guy mode. He talks debonair when he's in seducer mode.

One of the things about those old cartoons - is that they were shown in movie theaters - and could get away with more than the stuff created to be shown on TV. Then you've got the whole bunch of Politically Correct Horse Shit that is most of what's on TV. The Cartoons from WWII were great - but - they won't show them any more. Of course a lot of those were in Black & White - which they also won't show any more. .
