I’m just coming back from your “reacting to hate comments” video and wanted to add my voice to the group grateful for the fact that you review mecha musume and non-Gundam kits as frequently as you do. You’re only of the very VERY few English-speaking reviewers who reviews these kits in a professional manner and not completely devolve into dirty jokes as I have seen others wont to do. Thank you for actually not treating these kits as a joke, because the complexity of some of the musume kits seems to go unnoticed a lot. Keep doing what you do, and again, thank you!

been looking forward to this, I've been on the fence with this one and didn't see any reviews of this brand on your channel. I actually picked up the one with the umbrella because I absolutely love the design. thanks to this review I'll probably pick this one up as well at some point.

That style of weapon and considering the company, this would most likely be a Guandao. A polearm would not be wrong but a signature aspect of the Guandao is the weird bit coming off the back of the blade to catch blades or whatever else you need to catch and stop. Might be innacurate to that usage but it is definitely a sci-fi Guandao.

I like her Cybernetic Red-spine (or Cyberpunk's Sandevistan hehehe) 😊 And the clear parts option made me thought she's going stealth mode, or just like the old Bionic Six toys: parts look very nice and jelly-clear aesthetically.

Found this review rather late (haven't checked the channel, as much as I used to, for a while - haven't really needed to). Been wanting to see one on this line. Heard the line has loose joint issues (which I see some comments echo, & noticed a bit of, with the flags, that you didn't comment on). I prefer just building things straight out of the box, with minimal customizations, so loose joints would be an issue, for me. As would needing to trim stuff. I also like seeing if faces are pre-painted (so the unboxing segments are quite helpful), but the shop I get mine from is nice enough to open boxes, to check for me, if it's not clearly marked. I'll do minor painting, like adding a bit of silver or gold, if it's needed (especially to blade edges), but prefer not needing to. I do not like decals or stickers. I also agree with another post, size comparisons would be nice. Just grab a few girls, who represent their lines well, & maybe a Master Grade RX-78, & have them handy, in easy to stand configurations. We don't need a bunch of shots with them all. Just a single shot, with everyone in, like, an neutral or attention pose, standing next to one another, in their base form, would suffice. Maybe keep one or two fully armored, for a 2nd shot, for more complex kits, like this one.

@@kidrobot. The girls themselves have weak wrists and can have trouble holding up bigger weapons. The Artemis kit is basically a giant jet you put the girl in and doesn't really move, it's more of a display piece though.

The first two kits were not very good. But this one and the Yukihime which I also have are much better. I would say the later two releases are closer to MS General but but some some refinement before reaching the level of Nuke Matrix. But for how cheap they were, I'd say it was worth it.

Both Swallow and Yuki, I think it's been out for a while. It is a Chinese work with good details but some parts are need glue to help. But when compared to the price, it looks better and looks much different than Koto's. I have assembled many Chinese models, this is a good one and the price is not very high. /// But I'm not sure if my lot is the same as yours. because I'm in thailand. ///

That's interesting, I did not need glue for this one. I was actually really surprised by how well it went together considering, as you mention, it's pretty cheap.

Your box has dents in the exact same place mine did. I was pretty surprised with how much I ended up liking this kit. It's clearly a grade below Kotobukiya with the plastic quality and face details, but it is a decent kit and it was pretty cheap.

I find this kit and her Yukihime sister especially, to be very inspired designs, what I mean is that to me Kotobukiya kits rarely strike me as something unique, they alle feel very samey and rarely stray from the standard mecha musume aesthethic. This instead feels like it has a lot more personality
@rokushou
Жыл бұрын
I think Koto Mecha Musume would be fine if it wasn't for the rampant recolors and "variations" where they basically just throw in a MSG accessory. The individual designs are unique enough but they all start feeling samey when there's 2 or 3 variants for most of them.

The only complaint I hear about this line, even with the newer kits: very loose parts (MS general as well, Atk girls are fine) The design is nice on these, I like em, but they'll need a good paintjob for sure.

I'm not a big fan of the Suyata company since they stole the basic body design from Kotobukiya / Apsy who has the copyrights to it. Also their faces need a lot of work to look as nice as the leading lines of Mecha Musume kits. Also I don't know if it's an issue with my copy but it is quite loose and parts won't hold in place so I basicly can't use the backpack. I do like the chinese opera theme this one has but sadly mine had to many issues for me to further support the company (legal reason excluded)
