That was 63 seconds Jordan. But presentation well done. You get extra points for the extra credit question that you answered. On rod, size and fishing real size. Looking forward to your next video. Take care

I have been following these guys for a while now and I enjoy their content. Especially the movies they're very well done. Although if I was being honest I tune in for the entertainment value and not the fishing instructions or lessons.

Ok, I agree. A size 35 or 40 reel. I’d rather go big on a normal size fish, than not have enough reel for a big fish.

What spinning rod do you suggest for lake trout fishing? Thank you

Why do you need 30 lb braid? Wouldn’t it be ideal to go lighter to prevent drag in the water?
@no_regerts5176

Braid is much thinner than mono and you get 3x the strength for the same diameter.

@@no_regerts5176 right i understand that but why not lighter braid as opposed to 30 lb?

Mainly for abrasion resistance I think, you can go to 20 lb as well. Personally I love using 30

I love Addicted Fishing specially Jordan. But a fast tip? Wouldn’t you want more of a medium action to allow the rod to load up without pulling too hard on the soft mouths of salmon and steelhead? As an avid bass fisherman I do love my fast action rods!
@no_regerts5176

Fast is subjective when a rod gets over 8’. I started using an 8’6” steelhead rod to troll cranks for walleye because they are pretty soft, even as a “fast” action.

It's interesting that you recommend line that is nearly twice as heavy as the 😮rod manufacturer's recommended line specs.

No one abides by those. Many rods now have a mono spec and a braid spec.

Y'all probably don't got current like this, it's hard to bring a fish up that fast moving water once they get downstream to far. Also we'll usually use 8-12 lb line generally for steelhead but due to the water condition and type of lure it allows to go with heavier leader line. Why use light line if you don't have to
