I don’t know the Korean and Japanese consorts vey much. Besides, my knowledge of some Korean and Japanese imperial women are from Chinese books. I don’t have confidence that I can give you the accurate information about them. 😭

Thank you, so much for all the research and information you are sharing. I do have a question. In Ruyi's palace, I notice the emperor has a female attendant. She seems to be very trusted. Is this true? Also, if it is, what was her title and any other information you have about this position would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’m not sure where I read this but I heard many lower ranking consorts were sent to live as nuns after the emperor died. Is this true?

There's so much of information here that I never got from any of the serials. You are so right when you said serials are just entertainment. I'm so grateful that you are teaching about the reality of the Qing dynasty and the Forbidden City. Thank you so much for this. Is a consort dowager superior to the consort of a current emperor? And is a widowed consort who is not promoted to dowager lower in rank than a consort dowager?
@mysticdragon2101

From what I know, since the Consort Dowager has seniority over the current consort, this means the consort must show the consort Dowager respect (even though the current consort is more "relevant" to the affairs of the palace).

I would love a video on what happened with the Crown Prince and his women after an Emperor died I have seen plenty of videos of the harems themselves after the fact but what happens in that moment of transition between Crown Prince and Emperor and Crown Princess and empress it does the empress immediately take that title or do they wait till her conferment ceremony I would love to again see a video on this this was such an interesting look at what happens to the emperor's women after he dies
