The reason I always get Mids is pretty much because I prefer all of the stopping power to come from the surface and my hand. The extra variable of the softness rarely affects me, but feels sort of like a slight tugging at the perimeter of my range of motion. Basically, when my hand is extended I apply more pressure unintentionally and I don't want to worry about that affecting my aim too much. I just wish they would release the Raiden in Soft, that one is a bit too icy in Mid.

It's not about pressing down. I like to switch gripstyles around and don't really apply much down force yet Hien XSoft to me is absolute dogcrap if i have to be honest. It doesn't necessarily sink in, just feels awful in practice. I gave it a shot way too many times and couldn't see the appeal the Hien admirers see. Firm surface with soft base just doesn't click with me. Zero feels fantastic on the other hand. You know the saying : different strokes for different folks. My problem is not being unable to control how much pressure I want to put on the mouse, my problem is how much pressure different switches on different mice require. I love the Aerox 3 shape, but the clicks require more pressure than any other mouse Ive used. Not that much more pressure, but the difference in friction is noticeable even with the exact same mouse feet. And yes, I have tried the exact same feet. Like putting dot skates on it, instead of the Aerox 3 corepads, so that I can put the same dots on a different mouse and compare.

By having to control the pressure you put on the mouse to me at such a scale, is just adding artificial difficulty, when all your focus should be on the game itself.
