My opinion is the surviving mammals were not only burrowers with stored foods / seeds underground, but they were the type that hibernated, further helping them shut down and sleep through the worse portions of this. So although nocturnal abilities helped, I would imagine hibernating was the greatest skill to posses of all. The surviving reptiles seem to have the ability to eat a big meal and then survive a year till the next big meal. Birds could fly from safe spots, food and so on. Anything big died, anything that could not do the above died and those that ate insects probably had enough numbers survive to repopulate.

I was puzzled by the narrators turn of phrase. Then I realized this is a translation and the translator had used words whose connotation isn't quite what was meant. Also, the concept of the rapid decline of dinosaurs prior to the Chicxulub impact is a European one. North American scientists seem to disregard it as an artifact of trying to read too small a section close to KT boundary. Basically, the sample size falls below statistical noise.
@georgeprice5625

I dunno…there is that definite layer of iridium that’s scattered world wide that originated from the Chicxculub crater. Inside of the crater there is a large concentration yet for miles around it there is minimum but it increases as you go further from the crater. That notates a definite major impact zone. If the iridium spread around the world then logic dictates a massive dust plume. Plus the fact that the dinosaurs were all dead relatively quickly after that according to studies. That may HAVE been the ELE.

There are several types of Dinosaurs that have survived E.L.E the vast extinction of 90% of Animals on Earth. However, Reptiles, theropods and Mammals survived. Theropods evolved into birds maintaining the Theropods bone structure and as result became the rulers of the Sky. The extinction of the Dinosaurs wasn’t caused by Meteorite, their size led to their demise. They were just to large for all the destruction in unleashed by the Volcanoes, lack of Food, extreme temperature changes then came Apocalyptic events caused by the Earth becoming a giant fireball. The temperature rose so suddenly that the Sky turned black due the impact that our atmosphere became Volcanic Pumice.

I have always considered it extremely unlikely that the Earth got a rapid double whammy of events that were unrelated to each other as shown in this video. Rather, I think it is far more likely that the asteroid smacked into Earth first and that impact in turn caused all the volcanism (including the Deccan Traps, which would have been on the antipodal point of the impact at the time and thus likely to have been caused by it) and other climactic effects that followed afterward.

At 5 yrs old in 1963, I recalled my earliest past life memory on earth in what at the time seemed to be a waking nightmare. It was the night the meteor wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, we were all running in the dark and burning to death instantly. I was standing in my bed, screaming bloody murder. I could see on the wall or through the wall, all these dinosaur silhouettes running against a firey sky, on the horizon flames were coming faster than the silhouettes could run and then it got me too. Unknowingly, I was literally the first person in modern history to know exactly what happened.

8:30 I'm sorry, but this video is terrible. Your explanation and commentary on evolution is extremely inaccurate and misleading. You don't seem to understand how evolution works at all. You say several things that make no sense. Like the dinosaurs diversifying and changing to allow the environment to change and renew itself. That makes no sense. You also said that the dinosaurs went through a lot of changes and even developed into new species in just a few years, and that the changes took a little more each day. That is absurd. This video is extremely inaccurate and unscientific, to say the least. I recall, at one point, you were even referring to the flying reptiles as birds. Pterosaurs were not birds.
