The women in this video are so beautiful the dance moves 3:17--3:25 are beyond sexy. It says something about Mel Brooks that with all the beautiful women in his films and the risque nature of some of them, no one ever accused him of abusing his power or going over the line...that speaks volumes of his character.

I think they messed up by showing Hitler right away. It would have been so much funnier watching this music video, not knowing what it's about, seeing all the girls say hi, and then seeing Hitler pop out for the first time at 0:28. It would have been very surprising. Opportunity lost.

Remember, this was made in 1968. Nobody was making movies with this kind of satire then: Brooks was really breaking the mold. He said that he felt the ultimate revenge against the Nazis was to laugh at them.

To Be or Not to Be is brooks remake of the 1940 jack Benny movie, which is far superior to this. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge brooks fan, but this movie is adequate at best.

My point was the world has changed. Watch Springtime for Hitler. The original showed the swastika. Broadway did a modern version and the swastika was left off. You can't even make fun of nazis today. I guess I will take the advice from one reply below and just not care about pc today!
