In 1973 the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA) held the first mass participation 100 miler in the UK, several years before the Western States 100 in the US. 50 years later I completed my first 100 miler, the South Downs Way 100 by Centurion Running along pretty much the same route. This video looks at how 100 milers have changed in half a century.
