No one on Purdue except Edey could reliably score this time. They also could not defend Uconns numerous ball screens. This matchup really reminded me of the women's game, with one team carried by a star and the other a relentless scoring machine.

UConn let Edey get his, but clamped on the others and it worked. They have an old school type of motion offense- it’s more than just a pick-n-roll with the other three guys standing behind the 3-point line. They move well without the ball. Congrats to the Huskies.

Very good strategy. We'll just guard the perimeter like Fort Knox and guard they did. Purdue could barely get a shot off from 3pt. Fixed their wagon.

UCONN had pro players. Purdue had Edey and a bunch of solid college players. Talent disparity was on full display. I'm a Purdue fan, and Purdue never stood a chance. UCONN is the best college basketball team I've seen, maybe ever.

As a Big East alum, I have watched a plethora of college basketball games through the many many years on this planet and a whole lot of college championships. I have not seen a college game played so well and executed so beautifully on both sides of the ball but especially UConn. It was almost as if I was watching a perfect medium and at times a Viennese Waltz. Just simply the best. Congrats again UConn for a win that was well deserved. Beautiful team ball by UConn. It's crazy to think but I grew up a Tarheel fan and think of them as a basketball powerhouse, which they are. However, UNC has 6 titles all time 1957 through present day. UConn has won their 6 titles all since 1999. Incredible!

Purdue just burned 5-8 seconds of every possession letting their PG back the ball up court. UConn killed their game plan by just guarding the PG full court after made buckets & not once did Purdue pass the ball ahead to get a full 30 second possession. Just a simple thing robs you of 3-4 minutes of a game & they fell for it.

Yet so often when they get the Rebound, UCONN fasts breaks it up court and that wears the other guys down. If the break doesn’t produce, they immediately go into their set plays. So, they are getting so much done quickly whereas Purdue is as slow as molasses.

UConn is a team. Purdue is a one man show. Miller gets ball screens, dribble around, throw to Edey, weird jump hook to his right. UConn passed the balled around, cut, screened, back screened. If i was Painter i would have given let Loyer play the first three minutes of the second half and if he still hadnt scored i would have say jim down and put Furst in and told him to take some mid range shots . Probably would have got a few more points that way. Also Furst could have helped Edey and Kaufman with rebounds . Loyer is a good shooter he was just overwelmed by the taller, faster defender !

As a bulls fan I think edey reminds me of an Andre Drummond who is a backup center and a rebounding machine who can give you a couple blocks every now and then. He can even lose some weight and get a little quicker. They may try to have him develop a shot but we’ll have to find out. If he works in the right system with the right trainers I think he can do good.

Edey lost the game but he moved himself up the draft ladder. He just dominated the only other big atop the draft. BUT a giant still couldn't shoulder a game against Uconn.

Wemby is his size. The NBA is a different animal.Maybe in the Shaq era he will be drafted to earn them fouls. But, I will be surprised if he gets drafted.

😢😢😴😴 Too much hype for a bunch of average players that won't see any real stardom in the NBA... None of them on either team is standout talent whatsoever.. frfr Tristan Newton the only one that stood out slightly but he suppose to be dogging these white boys!
