What I love about professional fighters is that everyone is so fast you don’t get to react in time so you have to know what there gonna do beforehand and react off of reads which is kinda insane if you think about it.

Pretty sure it's when the right hand for example follows the light so the 2nd hand gets there faster. Punches would feel like 1.2 instead of 1.. 2. Less break between em

@@certified_boogeyman at the beginning i remember my coach told me to throw punches like i had handcuffs, so that i didn't have to wait for my first punch to come back to throw the second one. This obviously isn't always the best option, but it would definitely counter an inside slip

Knowing and acknowledging when u gotta be the tall or small fighter is essential. Outside,jab,&distance when ur tall and inside body shots when ur shorter to chop down the tree 🌲🫡

I like the jab counter the best you can keep your shoulder up and stay more protected and it’s a great way to quickly enter the pocket

Up jab is my favorite because it acts to block the right hand even if it's coming...and it's hard enough that it snaps the head back far enough that the follow up knockout overhand is right there.

It isn’t soo black n white. When you get in these exact positions, you don’t think what to do but you do everything out of instinct. These are what you should train & drill for it to become a natural instinct of yours. Just listening & going into a spar doing it won’t really work without getting it drilled as you’ll do it & it’ll just not work or you’ll double back on your attempt.

I know I’m capable and I have done plenty of training, but oddly I lack confidence on the bag and shadow boxing both on my own. I know it’s all in the movement and legs. Overthinking it and complicating it. Need to get over it. Love this channel 👍🏼

Even at my best weight of 225, the slip and body shot with the left was my favorite. Practiced it religiously. Fortunately/Unfortunately, i fell out of training because i got my Journeyman Wireman license and moved around to chase the money. I would have loved to stick around with my coach but work was drying up for me in that city and it just wasn't paying well.

The key to the slip is to use it as forward momentum to add power to your punch. Don’t just slide out the way, slide into your combo.

My favorite of this has to be the slip to the solar plexus, I swear after having it done to me & doing it to others a well placed well timed hit to the solar plexus can really drag people to deep waters depending on how far into sparring/fighting you are

I feel like this would be more of a situational counter, a quick jab and side step might be more optimal for most cases. I see it working if the distance is close when you slip but if not your opponent might be quicker with a straight

You can also roll the the other side you avoid to back hand. Slip to the inside, roll to the outside.
