Even if you were a communist - "Die Internationale" is in itself a human statement and I am sure other political opinions can give great music a fair cut. Great piece, loved the Chinse vocalist giving French a go. Peace everyone!

This is not a communist song, but a ballad for the human struggle. Against government, against metaphysical systems, against just plain old marginalization. Things that no person deserve to wrangle with.

Well, the lyrics are written by an anarcho communist and the song is composed by a communist, because the idea of communism itself is just what you have explained, a hope for the humanity

But a repressive regime like CCP cannot deserve to sing this Internationale. That is a comedy.😂😂😂

But that is Communism. Communism is the doctrine of the Liberation in f the working class. China a Socialist state lead by a Communist party. It is moving towards socialism. So it only makes since that the Communist party of China uses the International as it's anthem.

I am an American economist and was in China 12 years. China ad America both have mixed economies. That is both public and private sectors are important. The difference is the USA is more tilted the private sector compared to the situation in China. I have been a non-partisan math oriented economist for 35 years. I give objective analysis and let policymaker make policy decisions. Anyone can be political. Not everyone can do objective mathematical analysis. We all have our individual roles to play. The Chinese economy did not do well until it adopted a mixed economy. There is nothing great about people starving to death, like what happened sometimes under Mao.. An economy that is extreme to the right or extreme left does not work China is not defeated. Having a mixed economy starting in 1978, helped it. Vietnam switched to a mixed economy in 1986 Things got better there also. Being a dogmatic extremist helps no one. Take care..

The economies of China and American currently operate similarly, but the underlying political economy is very different. The American political system is dominated by the capitalist class, and seeks to perpetuate the capitalist mode of production to continue the power of that class. The Chinese system is dominated by the Communist Party, which is a Marxist-Leninist vanguard party, which aims to advance the interests of the worker class and achieve a Communist economy. In order to achieve a Communist economy, the party is currently focused on developing a strong industrial economy, and is using a mode of production similar to capitalism to do so. This political economy is what is being referred to when the countries are referred to as Capitalist or Communist, rather than the economy itself.

@@junelawson5719 Politically they are different and I think I made that clear. I am an economist and care little for polities. I have worked around a lot of politicians of different parties simultaneously. They know I am non-partisan and basically a mathematician. You and I agree I think. You might never understand a non-partisan economist. That is okay and these posts are limited in explaining anything. If YOU do not LOVE math, you cannot understand me. No worries.

@@newaddress456 I'm not sure I fully understand your role and I may have misunderstood, but here's one for you if you're interested. What do you think is a good compromise on landlords given that rent seeking on undeveloped land is most likely sub optimal economic behaviour. What incentive can be put in place to either make land holders make more productive use of their land, or make renting land more affordable so consumers have more to spend on goods? Or is there some better third option? The situation in my country for example is almost 200,000 properties are vacant on a country of 7 million or so, and the current incentive seems to be to keep them off the market and trickle properties onto the market at a much lower rate than demand to keep prices inflated. No need to response but if you do, cool beans. This stuff is interesting, and I tried to keep my question somewhat open ended in case you have some perspective I don't expect myself.

China has been a mixed economy for a long time. The first recorded official debate about the economic development model happened in 21 B.C., in the imperial court of Han Dynasty. The debate was recorded and published later on. Its tile is "Discourses on Salt and Iron".
