Actually, the G-league doesn't start at the same time as the NBA season. G-league typically tip a month after because they need to account for NBA roster cuts for the G-league draft and then training camp. So even if Bronny was not a full roster player, but a 2-way player, he'd still start the season with the Lakers because G-League doesn't open until later. This is some NBA sicko logistics knowledge, but that's why Bronny would be on the roster at the beginning of the season

@@noordeenaltammimi6416 I don't even know where to start. Yes, LBJ and Bronny playing together would be awesome if Bronny had earned his spot, which he clearly did not. Doc Rivers did not draft his Austin, who was the #1 ranked player in his HS class and had a great freshman year at Duke . Austin had a well established career both before and after playing for his pops. Bill Walton was long retired when Luke Walton made the NBA after a solid 4 year college career. Jalen Brunson is not getting played at all. He's like family to Leon. It just ended up great that your godson ends up being really good at basketball. They are setting him up to be the Steph Curry of the Knicks when it comes to importance to the franchise. Two things the knick can do to pay him back for taking a pay cut is keep his dad employed and just look out for him. Second, the knicks can't directly get Brunson sponsorships to make up the money. Though putting in a good word off the books for the star of the contending knicks is an easy sell. It's NYC, a giant market, and everyone knows JB, especially after this pay cut. I wouldn't be surprised if JB is the spokesman of a l9t of brands in NY.
