The Part of the Show about Mel meandering around topics, intentionally misunderstanding black men & ducking accountability kept it 💯 and the fact that Mel got triggered shows how delusional she really is & her lack of self-awareness. In the Katt topic the guys were explaining how Hollywood emasculates black men & she immediately brings up white actors & black women, completely undermining the main issue. Then the very next topic discussing Epstein Island she caped for Beyoncé & others saying they weren't directly involved, but had the opposite energy for Cam & Mase? Smh funny thing is they all wanted to agree with the part of the show chick (especially Ish) but they had to cape for their "sister" 🤷🏿♂️

It's gender wars on the pod. I don't need Mel to fall in line with my point of view if I'm Joe. They need to get past trying to trap her into saying certain things and being unhappy if she has her own point of view. It's cringy to almost see him force his opinion or views onto her. Do we really want all of them to think exactly alike? I, we, they may not agree with her approach, but ok you're smarter than most and that's where your mind took you, disagree, but no need to try to coax someone into what you wanna hear imo

I’ve noticed that hot topics (like black men in dresses) they tend to throw it in Mel’s lap. What I like about Mel is her opinion is different and it pushes the conversation. They do it to Ish too. I think that’s needed on a Pod, pods are boring when everyone agrees on the same things. Parks, Flip and Ice get to sit there and agree with the strongest opinion.

3:08:45 Mel’s immediate reaction to a female asking the MEN (not her) a completely fair question about her, with mad respect and deference to her place on the pod, is EXACTLY why the question was asked and people don’t like her and think she has MILES to grow in maturity. As a fellow female day-one listener, the viewer took the words right out of my mouth. To be almost 50 years old, pride yourself on being well read and worldly, yet you cannot sit down and let other people ask a question about some of the things that bother everyone about you on a podcast that you admitted during your interview with Angie that you were not prepared to join proves everyone’s point. I learned a lot about Mel from that interview and shot her a LOT of bail, but people who don’t want to be helped can’t be helped. I don’t think anyone watches this pod FOR Mel. Yeah the Kat takes were just lazy and misleading, either Joe is allied with the same people Kat called out or he’s playing devils advocate. No one who take short cuts deserves to claim honor or glory for the craft. money and success doesn’t matter when it’s a discussion of integrity, quality, and work ethic in a specific craft. Seems like the cast is afraid to speak real introspective truth about certain topics or people and if this keeps up this year the real ones are done watching this bs.

Dang. Mel’s take on black men in a dress was frustrating. What part are you not understanding? Just say you don’t believe it’s something black men have to do to get to the top, and stand on it. We would respect that more. I believe Katt, Dave, and all our brothers that have brought this to our attention. You keep asking irrelevant questions and you’re not saying much or pushing the conversation forward. The movie White chicks? Like come on. There’s no comparison. Coming off real all lives matter on this. Yes, those male actors were also in dresses, but we are talking about Black men specifically being persuaded to put on a dress to achieve stardom at certain points in their careers. You’re gonna lose some Melodies in 2024 if you don’t start saying shit with your chest, girl. It’s all love, but we have to hold your feet to this fire. It has nothing to do with her being biracial, but it does make me think that might influence her take on black issues. It has to. I believe black men. We as black women always take up for y’all unapologetically and history has shown we always will whether society backs us up or not. We not going for it in 2024.

Melissa had a valid point in her comparison with the dress. As much as Joe always pushing them to have an opinion and gets upset when they are quite. She had an opinion on this topic. A valid one for the sake of debate. It was surprising to see Joe being dismissive to the conversation. His only rebuttal was “the black actors are saying it’s true so it’s true” That’s not really a fair argument when Melissa brought up the valid points that she did about some black actors willingly doing it and also white actors. For the sake of conversation I was surprised to see Joe not have a greater perspective than just “some black actors say it’s true so it’s true.l with that said I do agree that it’s true as well. Melissa still made fair points 🤷🏾♂️

Personally I think people are always quick to jump on the "we are been oppressed" bandwagon.. Are they saying there are no black actors that made it without putting on a dress? Are they saying when they watched it they didn't find those bits funny at the time? Do you guys look at any actor as less of a man because of a role they played that involved putting on a dress? Or are people just looking for something to complain about?

@@YewTubeWatch But, are those really good points? Misses Doubtfire is one movie that comes to mind, with a white man in a dress, and that had Robin Williams in it, who was also a producer on the movie, so he had say. Most of the black actors have no say, unless they're as big as Martian Lawrence or the Wayans Brothers, or Tyler Perry.

@blakseed whether the point is "good" or not, that is subject to a person + their opinion. To Joe it wasn't a good point. From your questioning, seems like you feel it's not a good point. The rebuttal is that she was trying to determine whether black actors' perception on the dress situation were valid by comparing them to other actors, when there was no need to do that. Many of these actors have been saying flat out for a number of years that it's true. She should have started from that foundation. By her bringing up other arguments, it felt like she was deflecting or not giving importance to their concerns.
