well batfleck doesnt kill. bvs story line is the reference story of the dark knight in comics. read comics to understand. he didnt kill. or meant to kill if any. but he hurts the victim so badly because batman is worried that criminals are not afraid to him anymore . if batfleck truly kills why he didnt use his jet? or guns? to kill those criminals why he chooses to beat them using his barehand if he can just spray some bullet on them while saving martha?

Both Batman and the Joker had terrible events happening to them, but there's an important difference. Bruce Wayne had the resources and ability to help people, whereas the Joker did not. Also I think The Dark Knight captured a very important point in the scene where Bruce almost goes to kill the man who shot his parents, decides against it, then almost feels bad for the dude when he's shot exiting the trial. We all feel rage and hatred sometimes, and occasionally it pushes people over the edge. But at the end of the day, most people keep their morals even after traumatic experiences. It takes a lot to break a person completely, and while it can and does happen, I think it takes a special kind of person to actually flip out and kill another

I like that gets killed afterwards and the whole time, I feel like April knew what he was planning to do. It just relieves me because I can relate to it. He had the power to get revenge but he chose a more better path and it was immediately taken care of. It reminds me of the quote that sums a bible verse "Revenge is the Lord's."

listen to your first line exactly like you said, batman had more then enough money to handle and take care of it. Joker had none of that and had a way worst day (going off of the killing joke lore) he had his wife and kid killed, to only then be dumped in a batch of chemicals which ruins his skin and burns his nerves and then forced to be alone and deal with these problems. While batman only had his parentsk illed and had resources to cope

One day these guys decide the place sucks so they try to escape.They end up on the roof of the place and they see a building next to the institute that leads to the city *FREEDOM!*. so the one of the guys make the jump to the other side but one is afraid of heights so the guy who made it says ''Don't worry i'll shine my torch across the gap so you can walk across the beam'' the other guy replied with ''No i know you'll just turn it off as soon as i make it halfway across''. THE END? Ha quoting is fun. Two questions Which inmate are you? Which one is Batman and which one is Joker? *BONUS ROUND* God i have nothing better to do with myself Or do i? But hey that's just a theory A GAME THEORY thx for watching guys They did a video on joker recently and now treesicle MAN this subject is popular.

A better question is: Is Bruce Wayne/Batman insane or super sane? There are theories that he is "as insane as the Joker". If Joker is super sane, then Bruce Wayne is also super sane, dress as a bat, because he knows he is Batman - a comic book hero.
@KevinJohnson-cv2no
7 жыл бұрын
yaajf comments No Batman is just insane. His consciousness still exists in the comic books, which is why he upholds the imaginary morals of them. The Jokers consciousness exists outside of the comic books, he's aware of the pointlessness of the actions inside them which is why he does the things he does. He kills people because he knows it's not real, and isn't afraid to die because he knows he'll be brought back in the next issue.The reason he's laughing is because he finds it funny that everyone else doesn't know they are in a comic book, and so he laughs at how seriously they take everything thinking it's real.

Then explain this: Why didn't Bruce Wayne become The Joker? Why didn't James Gordon become The Joker? Simple: Because BATMAN was right. He believed that everyone was moral, and good at heart. That not everyone is a monster like Joker. There is the desire to do bad, it is there. But it's our choice whether we do bad, or not.
@aalishag5156
7 жыл бұрын
Isn't that what was said in the video? That the joker snapped but we don't all have to? You have to admit that it's more fun to me immoral and nihilistic than to be moral - and that is NOT to say that I don't believe in morals, because I believe the world can't run without them - but the video explains that because the Joker KNOWS that he's in a comic book, none of his actions actually matter. But Batman doesn't know that so he operates as most normal people do: with a moral conscious to do whatever he can to help.

And that is why I LOVE BATMAN. Bruce Wayne didn't even have a girlfriend, can't remember of his close friends, and he has been bullied at school all his life and his parents died. Sure, at first he decided to avenge them like everyone would. You guys think, sure, they left him billions of $$$ after they died. For YOU and ME, that sounds like a good thing. But for HIM, that's responsibilities. Bruce Wayne took his horrible fucking day to Ra'sAl Ghul, who tried to make him a sociopath. But this guy, instead of submitting his will to the darkness, decided to be a candle where there was no light to be found. There is something about Bruce Wayne, Altair Ibn La-Ahad, Ezio Auditore, Connor Kenway that makes me look up to them as elder brothers. From AC3 "Why do you STILL defend those who do not care about you ??" "Because if I don't, no one else will !!!"

This needs to be framed on a wall somewhere. Also Batman getting out of Bane's Prison in The Dark Knight Rises symbolizes everything that Bruce Wayne is: He's not clawing out of the prison for himself, he did it because his knowledge that he can be a candle where there was no light to be found wouldn't allow him to stay there. That one scene in The Dark Knight Rises is something that I believe can prevent suicides. All you have to think about is ONE person who needs you. When you think of THEM, your decision will go from "I can't go on" to "I MUST go on." I went through this in high school, when I drew out a plan to off myself. But I had a childhood friend who hung onto my every action because I was his ONLY friend. I needed to keep living so that HE could keep living.

I hate to be the devils advocate, but i think you guys are kinda missing the point. Sure, Batman is deffinitely better than the Joker, and is far from Bruce Wayne's shadow, but...Just look at what he does throughout all his cannon. He beats, tortures, disfigures, and brands people regardless of who they are or why they have dont what they did, and if you think about it, Batman indirectly causes harm and danger to everyone around him just by existing. He keepd to his morals, sure, but he very often doesnt shy back from doing this to even police officers. Batman has a god complex, he believes he stands above the law and humans, and thus can do as he pleases. Batman isnt the candle in the light, thats his whole point. Batman is meant to be terrifying to everyone. Sure, WE know he doesnt do bad, but one scene (from a horrible movie, i know, but it still gets the point across) from Batman V. Superman, the scene where he is first introduced, shows that even everyday civilians, even victims, are TERRIFIED of Batman. He doesnt give people hope, because of his unpredictability, the fact of how unkown he is to the public induce pure terror. Batman isnt the light in the darkness, he isnt justice or righteousness. Batman is more like Light from Death Note in the early stages of the show, or the War Doctor from Doctor Who. Batman is someone who, out of a sense of justice, does absolutely horrible things to those around him, but, unlike the two examples, he doesnt realize how inherently wrong it is what he is doing.

I wonder what causes the difference between the type of nihilism the joker shows and the type that is more indifferent to suffering rather than having any desire to cause it. By the reasoning of nihilism why should the joker care at all what anyone believes about their morals? What meaning is there in making them believe what he does?
@TheHiddenStudios
8 жыл бұрын
Maybe the joker isn't really a full on nihilist. With the concept of subjective morality, you could say his actions are justifiable and he believes he is doing the "moral" thing by trying to make people understand what he believes is the reality of the world.

Think about these 2 things: 1. Karma - what goes around comes around 2. The golden rule - do on to others, as you want done apon you There are always consequences for your actions, even if you go very dark.... The extreme of having no values will play into who you are. (in this lifetime or in the next)
@Yvädastra
8 жыл бұрын
To truly succumb to nihilism is to give up living because there was never a point to live in the first place and the experience we call "life" is filled mostly with pain leaving us to scramble for the fewer moments where we are truly happy. Nietzsche himself called nihilism a "sickness" and to submit to it was to be a "passive nihilist" and to recognize the meaninglessness of life yet still continue finding a reason to live is to be an "active nihilist". Essentially, once nihilism is recognized, you either waste away or accept that you need to keep lying to yourself to keep living and be okay if you end up dying before you achieve everything you've wanted to. The Joker seems to fall in a grey area between the two because he's given up on everything he was ever told about the world and decided that life is worth living if he's able to do everything he's ever instinctually wanted to do: to tear down the ridiculous societies that screwed him over, to take immediate vengeance on the people who wronged him, to have fun without giving a flying fuck of what anyone else thinks. However, the Joker is still afraid of the idea of dying, of being forgotten, of apathy. This has been shown many times in the comics, TV shows, movies, and games. He is afraid of true nihilism so he clouds his mind from thinking about what any of his actions and efforts mean ultimately. He's eager to point out the absurdness of common morality and society, but he's terrified to see that same ridiculousness in himself.

The Joker is extremely smart and manipulative, the red hood flashback in Arkham Origins is a perfect example of that. The way he squirms his way into Harleens psyche. Also Arkham Origins Joker was my favorite video game portrayal of the character. Totally, completely unhinged.

+Job sih When he says the jokers right about everyone being one bad day away he was still right but that just wasn't Gordons bad day, it was a really shitty day but clearly not enough to send him over the edge. That isn't saying it's impossible for it to happen to Jim its just saying the Joker failed to create that bad day. There's no way of knowing exactly what combination of shitty things causes someone to snap like that and it's going to be different for everyone. All the Joker did was give Jim the shittiest day he could, the Joker is no magician he couldn't know exactly what it would take to throw this exact guy over the edge so he just does what he can, the failure isn't his fault the human psyche is just still too unpredictable. The mere fact that Jim knew why the Joker was doing what he did could alone have a massive impact on how he views the experience making him potentially able to take much more abuse. His point was that everyone even batman has the potential for that bad day, we can't know what it would take but that's what makes the character so interesting, the fact that at any moment that day could come for us in its own unique way. Lets hope we never see that day come for batman, the fans would riot.
@Brandonious15987

Brandonious15987 As I said all that proved is the Joker failed to give that bad day to Gordon that says nothing about if its possible for Gordon to have that day. Everyone has a breaking point, all brains can only take so much. What do you mean couldnt happen to Gordon? He was already on his way. Collapsed and puked after the tunnel of horrors. Fortunately for him as his mind began to bend Batman arrived to get joker away from him and told him Barbara was alive in hospital. Had batman arrived a few moments later Gordon wouldve been beyond saving. You have absolutely no idea what youre talking about. You are a small thinker who misses details, the big picture and so you draw false conclusions.

all it really takes is one bad day, thats the point of the story of Batman and Joker, both are the same, representing the most base forces in their true form, one is the spear that destroys all, the other is the shield that protects everything, thats the real reason why Batman takes on Joker, if anybody else were to they would lose
@ieatyou8479

I don't think the reason joker is so crazy or insane is nihilism I think it is in fact because he knows he's in a comic book. He becomes so ruthless and careless because he knows he can't actually die because the writers will just bring him back, he kills people carefree because he knows their lives don't matter. In a comic awhile ago Martian manhunter saw this theory in jokers head and actually forced that outta his mind and after that joker actually became normal and gave up in crime fighting.

Best joker origin is telltales joker hands down. It may not be your personal favourite joker or the best joker but the origin story is by far the best. It took more than just being pushed into a chemical bath. It took being lied to, having no memories,having no idea who you are, being alone, never having a childhood, your whole life behind bars in an asylum with no recollection of who you are, being abused, getting in with the wrong crowd, it would be traumatising. Waking up in an asylum with bleach white skin and green hair with no memories at all. Having doctors ask you questions and prod and poke you. Being surrounded by nut cases and then getting out of the asylum only to realise the real world is worse than the bubble you lived in your whole life.

I think you're forgetting something: those people you mentioned obviously had serious mental issues. We all have bad days, hell sometimes we have a STRING of bad days yet we somehow are able to not slaughter everyone around us in a laughing, blood-crazed fit of rage. The Joker's useage of 'one bad day' is just him excusing his behavior. What separates us from Joker and those people you mentioned is that we understand that hurting others is wrong and we seek out other, non-violent means, to vent out our anger.

@splashpal780

This may sound crazy, yes, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. The way I see things is balance; so, you must work together with your darkness if you are wishing to do good in your life. Therefore, while you do good things, you MUST do something dark in order to stay balanced, or else "the scale will tip over." Same meaning of the Joker's saying, It just takes one bad day. Furthermore, if you think about your life as a scale, too much of good or evil would cause that scale to become greatly imbalanced on one side. Again, it takes one bad day... you are constantly fighting to do good, the scale keeps going onto one side to the tipping point, and then BAM! Evil took over because the scale fell over; you lost control. However, visa versa for those who wish to do only evil. This is why I choose balance so my scale will NEVER tip over.
