disclaimer: it is SO HOT today, and my playing feels a little less than normal - welcome to the new normal! Timings in the comments and bottom of the description as well.
Today we're trying out the JSV2 from Houghton Horns. This is John Sebastian Vera's Signature mouthpiece, and it looks beautiful and plays great. We're contrasting it today with my two favorite mouthpieces - my personal daily driver, an LI Brass 550E, which is my soloist and chamber mouthpiece (full disclosure I am an artist with this company) and a Doug Elliot 104 XT G* G8 mouthpiece that I love for brass quintet playing and commercial work.
