A lot of the darker elements and artwork to really cement in the world of India. Walt wanting the crew to disregard the original Kipling story, and wanted this to be more enjoyable. Walt's movies were so multilayered and pristine quality. The animation, the voices, the music. And Jungle Book more than most. Walt was a true creative genius with exacting standards and he surrounded himself with fellow geniuses - the best of the best - and expected their innovation and equal perfectionism. Ahh he was just so cool and passionate and his work reflected all it.

This is probably the earliest (high profile) example of an animated movie with a mostly all-star cast of very recognizable celebrity voice actors (for its day). It makes Disney casting Robin Williams as Genie in Aladdin look very modest by comparison. It’s also funny to see a late 60s Disney flick already showing their celebrity cast meeting their characters in promotional material XD

I was 10 when this movie came out I’m now over 21 lol I remember enjoying the music. My parents who came of age during the big band era. We’re so amazed that Phil Harris and Louis Prima musical ability. They always like those two bands now that I’m older, I think of the behind-the-scenes antics that must’ve gone on, all that talent all those brains hanging out together George Saunders, Sebastian Cabot looking on as Phil Harris and Louis Prima’s bands go crazy jamming together would’ve been a wonderful behind the scenes documentary of itself

9:31, I can tell that Sterling Holloway was aging at the time in the making of the documentary. His voice is pretty much Kaa with a LONG ache. (I know this interview from him was a couple of years before, this) But this is what he'd probably look like if he was still alive in 1997.
