Part of our role is to teach practical skills so our children can be self-sufficient in this world. We teach our kids 2 sons and 2 daughters both sexes know how to do basic repairs/house painting, cooking, cleaning/servicing lawnmower/washing machine/fridge/ service/change oil in the car change tyres etc. Sure you can pay someone to do that but nothing beats the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself. That is how I was taught by pa/ma, memaw and pepaw.

Your life story also inspires me as we all have a past. You show us it is possible to become better and closer to the Lord. For sure i had an hungry soul as ive been through dark times and even the doctors couldnt explain why.

Phenomenal video. Reading the parts and watching the video series together helps turn the ideas into small actions that add up. Amazed at how the book lays out the exact daily schedule and actions and behaviors that help us reach our full potential. Best video on KZitem by far

I think I get what you're saying. I'm thinking about myself. I really can't think of any specific, concrete goals except to repair some relationships. Other than that it's just basically to do as much good as I can before I die, in general. I work my part time home care job, I help my husband, mom, kids and grandkids however I can. I don't feel like I'm achieving any specific, major goals, but I don't feel like I'm wasting my time either though. I feel like I'm somewhere in the middle.

Great great talk, full of wisdom. Thank you Rabbi. Does anyone know, which limb and sinew corresponds to which Mitzvot? For example, if someone has a broken arm, is that an indicator about something that he didn’t do or did do, in the past? It pops in my mind, perhaps he did not say the Shema daily, which includes covering the eyes with the right hand, for example. Toda raba! Barcuh Hashem
