Thanks! it's my first tutorial but I've been editing professionally for a while now! I first learned how to edit by watching tutorials, so I thought its about time I continue the cycle and help others learn to edit as well

Great video - I wish this was uploaded a few years back haha, pretty sure there's people out there selling courses that cover this over two hours. You smashed it, nice and concisely. Thanks.

great info! 6:42 the scaling issue is because scaling needs to be set to Exponential (maybe there's an expression for this, but you can do it through the Animation tab), but the Z position trick works great

where can i learn this stuff fast?
@richochet
2 жыл бұрын
@@distortedboy2489 I don't know about how to make it fast, but try this : 1. Read the Ae manual 2. Do lots of tutorials like this 3. Make what you see on the tutorials 4. Share your learning and knowledge with others

On the point where you brought up the issues that scaling footage beyond ~300%, I might know why but its just a guess. Since the scale value is % based, lets say the difference between value 1% and 10% is a huge increase, but the difference between lets say 1000% and 1010% isn't as substantial. So there is this curve or gradual fall off which probably could be solved with an expression but I am too lazy to figure it out. Cool solve with the 3D part.

Facts shmacts, you can use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true. Seriously though, your explanation makes sense to me... I think.

Did adobe change the way speed graph works with seperating dimensions. I cant fluidly use speed graph on all 3 it forces me to control them seperately

late comment but what's the difference between cc repetile and motion tile?
@AcademyOfEdits
3 жыл бұрын
With repetile we can specify which edge to extend as well as which tiling mode (different ways to extend) But in motion tile we're expanding the width or the height so we can't be edge specific and there aren't tiling options other than mirror or don't mirror, also motion tile usually takes longer to render! Motion Tile does have it's uses but for just a simple scene extension like this Repetile is the way to! Hope that helps :)

Thank you so much for this. I've only ever used the speed graph because I never really understood the value graph. Which is a shame because it's really useful and i never took adventage of that. Other videos i've watched just explained it as the same as the speed graph so I just though 'Well might as well just use that one', but this video was very clear and easy to understand! Great job!

I just yelled SO DAMN LOUDLY that my girlfriend woke up because I saw your "F9" hotkey comment 1 minute into the tutorial. Why didn't I know that shortcut? No clue, but now I do and I am so frustrated at myself for all of the work I've had to MANUALLY do over the last few projects. Thanks! -Via Reddit.
