At 4:07 you said something that clicked perfectly with how we sell.. “the bread and butter pieces at volume pays the bills”. Well said sir.. well said

I’ve gotten disciplined to list within 48 hrs of buying, typically I thrift in the morning and list in the afternoon/evening. Slow sales this week but hope things pick up soon! Thanks again for brand knowledge.

Your cost on some of those clothing brands is really good compared to my local Goodwills, most of those brands that you have shown would cost on average around $10.00 for shirts and around $17.00 on shoes, ariat boots are priced at $25.00 at my local Goodwills 😄 crazy. They just keep raising prices on everything. Great sales.

If you don't source GOOD re-sellable items, you're not going to make sales. Sourcing IS a key ingredient to making a sale. If you source junk, it may never sell. Just my opinion. :)
@Josh-Kim
2 жыл бұрын
Definitely agree with that!! We need to source items that are in demand. No point in listing 1000 items that will sit there forever, even if we're only paying $1 per item. That's $1000 tied up in dead inventory 😅 I just know that a lot of resellers' sourcing outpaces their listing, so wanted to give a reminder to find a better balance between the two 😁

They key to reselling is HOW you source. You have to source in multiple ways.

@chevyjazz

Relist them so they move up in the listing results. Also make sure your pricing is accurate for the style you're selling. This changes a lot. Also, if there are any keywords you can add or change, that can help too.

I agree that staying inside when its snowy is the way to go. I wanted to go to the bins today, but it has been in single digits here and just want to stay inside and list. I think I would personally have to disagree with sourcing not being the key to reselling. If you have no inventory, you have nothing to sell, and therefore make no money. I would argue that for the majority of resellers whether they're doing it full time, or part time, sourcing is the key. I'm sure most have gone through times if not on a regular basis where they're worried about finding anything to resell. Unfortunately, there isn't a store full of free items that anyone can walk into and grab as much as they want and walk out smiling and skipping. :p I recently got a semi-renewable source that I can buy lots from that has alleviated nearly all of my stress. Listing is the easy part, finding it is often the toughest part by far.
@Josh-Kim
2 жыл бұрын
Good point! Definitely a balance between the two. I can see the balance shifting depending on the area someone lives too. If someone lives in the city, then there will naturally be more inventory to source VS. someone who lives in a less populated area. Appreciate the comment. You brought up a lot of really good things!
