Stick to the plan. Anticipate, don't improvise. Trust no one. Never yeald an advantage. Fight only the battle you're paid to fight. Forbid empathy. Empathy is weakness. Weakness is vulnerability. Each and every step of the way, ask yourself, "What's in it for me?" This is what it takes. What you must commit yourself to. If you want to succeed. Simple.

"The Return of *Anton Chigurh* " : Ha..🤫😁 ...can't help but wonder if Netflix will follow up with a sequel _(or sequels),_ considering that the graphic novels 📖📚 absolutely provide years of content which can serve as a foundation for more *'The Killer'* based stories adapted to film. Because of Andrew Kevin Walker's writing and David Fincher's directing, plus Fassbender's novel accurate, _(detail oriented, cerebral, introverted, methodical)_ portrayal of the lead character, I was 100% engaged with the movie. Also helped that I was familiar with all of _The Smiths_ songs in the soundtrack and personal intimate/extensive life experiences in _La Republica Dominicana_ resonated with me _(same with other filming locations in the movie: Paris, NYC, Chicago, Florida...)._ *Sequel(s)* ? 🤔 The return of *Anton Chigurh* ! Ha..🤫😁

I hate to say this as a HUGE fan of FINCHER, but he should really consider mining a new vein. Outside of its technical achievements, I ultimately found the film rather unfulfilling. Afterwards I found out it wasn't based on an ORIGINAL screenplay, and I was relieved actually. I'm a HUGE fan of Fassbender as well, but couldn't take his accent in this. KLYCE as always, is on point. A great film sound artist. I realize I'm holding Fincher to VERY high standards. I frankly found MINDHUNTER much more satisfying overall. YMMV.

I thought about what I wrote yesterday and wanted to add.... Wouldn't it be nice if FINCHER optioned Jerzy Kosinski's novel, COCKPIT. Now THAT, is something I'd like to see FINCHER dig his teeth into. Someone call his agent. LOL

Thought the movie was flawed but Mike Fassbender is excellent at microscopic acting 🎭. He was definitely the right casting choice.

I too agree, it could’ve been something more but because of fincher’s technical prowess he somehow made it look okay but not at all at par with what he can do. Fasbender saved it.?
@nahopyga

True. The story was too straight forward to make anything interesting. There was a similar film starring George Clooney. He also played a sniper specialist who fell for a local girl.

@@NostalgiNorden because it’s Fincher it obviously smartly creates the illusion through layering that there’s more going on but even that isn’t that much interesting.

Im always curious about how do you politely interrupt someone to give your input,David is the big star here but he totally interrupts so many times and i wonder does anyone there in the moment also speaking think it as rude or maybe “just let him speak”

How could the combination of Fincher & Fassbender make such an underwhelming movie…. technically brilliant, but story and the pace of the movie didn’t feel well thought out. Some great set pieces and Fassbender was excellent….but overall it feels like a missed opportunity.

It reflects the character, visualising their internal monologue, and the conflict between circumstance and their internal crystalline monological beliefs that have to be "killed" for them to proceed. It is slow ... But so is realisation. Not everyone's cup of tea but admire Fincher for not simply pumping out "seven/fight club"esque movies ad nauseum

yeah... no... this was not a great movie... not even a good movie. i found it to be boring, slow, monotonous, and there was no real point in the story. I was hoping for some kind of insight in this Q&A but found nothing to redeem it. i do not understand what people liked about this movie.

Here’s the right way to look at it: It’s not an assassin movie. It’s a David Fincher film about an antisocial, neurodivergent hit man trying his best to not be human.
