the doctor stopped the fight coz Lewis ripped his eye open with punches.. legal punches.. it wasn't a clash of heads, Lewis did that with his fist. Lewis barely had a mark on him and Klitsckos face was fucked up.. another three or four big shots and Vitali could have had his career cut short.

Wladimir is the more complete fighter,has better technique,had the best trainer in the world teaching him for almost a decade but still Vitali would have probably won if they fought.Its all about acting and reacting in the given moment and Vitali is a pure fighter, he is calmer,braver,mentaly stronger and has a better chin and is very awkward due to his unusal body movements and punches from angles Wladimir hasnt seen or encountered before in the ring. Its similiar to the match up between Nadal and Federer in tennis,Federer is much more complete and talented but Nadal unusual style of playing and his determination, never give up mentality always make him the winner.

I think he are talking about a Wlad from 8-9 years ago, I didn't see that kind of problems since he regained the title after his loss to Brewster. In fact I think he has very good stamina for a guy that big, and usually he doesn't lean, just grab. He grabs because he can't fight inside, big fighters have disadvantages inside and also Wlad doesn't have a good chin so it is naturally that he grabs.

@aschindler22 I hate to admit it, but you're 100% right. i grew up watching vlad for seems like 10 years now, only in the past 3 have i really been watching Vitali.However imho Vitali all the way.
@SquallLeon81

@aschindler22 Yeah agreed with you, but I see it in a different way only because in my opinion Wladimir is more tecnique and has better defense, but I continue to see Vitali hits harder. I'm impressive when he takes down in a brutal way Corrie Sanders and Adamek was demolished with less right hand. I add Ross Puritty who has been stopped because a tremendous cut and Wladimir doesn't do so much damage to him. Anyway I respect your point of view and I can tell both Klitschkos are hard hitting

Will you get off the "I'm a jealous Lewis hater" bandwagon. Lewis got away with some holding and hitting, but he leaned on Tyson once in their fight, something that would ordinarily get you a warning, and his knockdown wasn't counted and he was docked a point. Every time Cotton separated them, he pulled Lewis's hands off first, even though Tyson was holding too and he only pushed Lewis back on the breaks. He also called a crouch a knockdown in the eighth just to buy Tyson some recovery time.

It was Don King and Tyson. Either way, Tyson was supposed to fight Lewis but he refused so Lewis sued him to make a defense. Lewis wanted Tyson. Tyson didn't want Lewis and don't give me any bullshit about how his fight with Seldon would've been more lucrative. Lewis-Tyson set a pay-per-view record and that was when they were both old and past their primes. If they fought in '96, the record they would've set would still be standing today.

@CopyNinja87 He didn’t say he was winning he said he was getting to him and he was right. Lewis had won the last two rounds and was slowly beginning to dominate. As for his post-fight interview he was well within his right to say what he did, I was disgusted with the booing spectators; everything he said was in defence. Of course he wasn’t going to say Klitschko deserved to win, and theres no doubt in my mind if it had gone the 12 Vitali would have lost. Best possible result for Klitschko.

I mean look at the fight against Wach. All those fights aren't very interesting but against Wach you see him throwing really heavy shots for 12 rounds, couldn't knock him out though either because Wach has a tremendous chin or because he was on steroids or both. Anyway a guy 6,6 who can throw such a large number of jabs and heavy powershots for 12 rounds, I honestly don't see stamina problems in recent fights. Certainly in the early stages of his career they were obvious.

Well, Tyson was ducking Lewis. Lewis became professional heavyweight boxer while Tyson was in jail and wanted to fight Tyson as soon as he came out of jail. But Tyson ducked Lewis until he finally agreed to fight him in 2003. However, he got lucky against Vitali. If Vitali hadn't gotten that cut over the eye he would have won. Lewis knew that. Thats why he didn't give him a rematch.

How exactly was Lewis supposed to fight Tyson in his overhyped prime? Please explain that one. Lennox had only 14 fights under his belt, and had never even fought outside of the UK at the time Mike went into prison. He wasn't even on the title radar yet at that point. Then when Mike got out of prison, Mike paid Lewis $4,000,000 to "step-aside" so he could fight Seldon instead. You might want to rethink who avoided whom there buddy...

@aschindler22 That can be true, but Wladimir at the beginning of his respectable carreer, throw a lot of punches and ko most of his opponents, but his brother ko even more than Wladimir. So I think the power is still in Vitali's favour.

he has the 2.nd best KO ratio in the history of the division. The only time he had his doctor stop him was when he tore his shoulder against Byrd, he should have fought on and win the fight one-handed I agree, but since that day such thing never happened again. Look how often how often Holmes grabbed Shavers and then tell me again they are exzessive grabbers.

Tyson was amazing for a couple years, that's it. He never beat any great fighters, and he never even beat any good fighters after his prime like Lewis did. The entire career matters. When he was young, Lewis dominated good fighters that gave Tyson trouble, like Ruddock. When he was 37 and in the worst shape of his career, fighting on ten days' notice, he still found a way to beat an all time great in his prime, Vitali Klitschko. By the way, you're grammar is terrible.

2 very good fighters in a very poor era for heavyweight boxing, they deserve respect for dominating for so long its not there fault there has been no great heavyweights out there tbh they av beat just about every1 out there and i cant see Fury, Price or any of the other up and coming heavyweights giving them a decent fight. Vitali is basically retired and Vladimar will probably take on 2 or 3 more fights then retire aswell. There 2 of the most dominating boxers in the heavyweight history, fact.

Who did Tyson fight in 2000? He was in better shape then than he was against Lewis, but he was terrible against Lewis. Also, Tyson's "prime" as most people know only lasted for about three years. His actual prime, that is, the time in which he was still capable of greatness, lasted for about nine years. I'll take Lewis's nine best years plus the rest of his career, over Tyson's nine best any day. I know boxing. Since you think that Lewis ducked Tyson, you clearly don't.

For punching power its pretty clear that Wladimir hits harder than Vitali. He puts a lot more weight on his punches than Vitali who usually doesn't put a lot weight and sometimes arm punches. He knock's people out almost the same as Wladimir cause he throws much more power shots than Wladimir who depents on his jab, and like Tyson said one time its all about being mentaly prepared to take the shit,meaning a shot you dont see coming will probably knock you out

Lewis did get lucky against Vitai, but boy, you better get your facts straight about him and Tyson. Had Tyson not lost to Douglas, they could've fought in '92 or '93. They should've fought in '96, but Tyson refused and even paid Lewis $4 million when Lewis sued him to defend his title.
