Hi There, A pro tip I learned from a commercial grower of Dragon fruit: Let the fruits dry out a bit, perhaps around one to two weeks on the counter, so they get a bit wrinkely on the outside. What happens is that the excess water contained within the fruits evaporates, and the flavors and aromas become noticably more concentrated; they eat much better. Cheers!

Hoping you did ice cream or something to keep the nutrients intact, as I think I've realized that bio-availability isn't discerned by a perfect means; it seems that just because something absorbs faster or more fully in a particular area of the human body, doesn't exactly mean it's healthiest in that particular processed form, meaning that smaller amounts of the healthier but not as "fully absorbed" substance might be better. Although a mix of both seems like it's possibly necessary for most people at the moment, because of a lack of clean environments(healthy microbes play a huge role) and because of a lack of commodities which seem they are not actually shipped into many, if any, countries. Also, consider comparing dragon fruit nutrients to chia seeds if you hadn't already; I forget if I mentioned that.

Watched the entire thing. I'm growing 4-5 types of dragon fruits in a discarded shop vac. Live south of Chicago & roll the entire contraption in every winter. Time will tell if it ever bears fruit. I also have a wide variety of odd fruits in my yard like paw paws , ches & dead man's fingers. We then went on to watch your 10 year compilation of fruit exploration. So wild you're a contortionist too!! Fascinating to think about your crazily contrasting passions. Thank you for all the enjoyable videos.

A small prickly dragon fruit grew from a vine on a tree by my house , had seen it for weeks if not months , I love dragon fruits and I never thought it would be one till I got close and knocked it down and it was a dragon fruit jus really filled with thorns like cactus

American beauty is very popular. Easy to grow too. Don't need to cross pollinate plus you can use the pollen to cross others.

How beautiful they are ... I would love to see the plants live, too ... perhaps I get some seeds sometimes👍

Can you also do a deep dive of Asian vegetables? There are so many kinds of leafy or root based produce in the supermarkets and google can only tell you so much about each flavor wise Would be super helpful

24:08 same parents, but different genetic combo; like siblings from same parents when parents may have very different genotypes. Each will be unique. I’m wishing I could be next to you tasting them all!
