I love how Dave especially gets into this song - he's in "a world of his own." And I love how his and Ray's vocals sometimes track each other an octave apart, sometimes harmonize. And I love Dave's guitar solo. Oh heck, I love EVERYTHING about this song!

It's those Davies brothers harmonies that constitute the main and possibly the only reason that a Kinks reunion would be welcomed. But I'm not holding my breath.

I really dig the way that Ray transposes the second verse from the way that the record goes; the "I don't know what to do..." is really a GREAT play on the original melody. Also, Ray's work on the rhythm guitar is stellar! I love these guys!!!

Ray does 99.9% of the song writing. I just got their Greatest Hits, and this song is not on the 2 CD set. I forgot about this song until I heard it on Sirius. I would not have purchased the CD's if I knew this song was not on it.....however, Juke Box Music arrived late in their careers, and their GH's has a ton of good songs...99.9% written by Ray. Way to go Ray!:)

I saw them in February of that year touring in support of the Sleepwalker album. Great show, and what's in the clip is just how I remembered them on tour. I would see them again in '78, '79, '82, and '87. The last of those was a forgettable show. They were way too loud, and there was little about the show that was endearing.

It says KSHE 95. That logo was originally done for the band, "Bloodwyn Pig" I grew up in St. Louis and the radio station KSHE 95 used it as their logo. I still have a patch, a belt buckle. I was unaware of the sister station in Detroit. KSHE, I believe still uses it, but, without the joint in the mouth. Sadly, it is now just a regular corporate station like all the others(crap) . It's cool to see Ray Davies wearing that cap!
