Hi, my name is Sophie and I am obsessed with mohair. Like, really obsessed with the stuff. It’s my favourite type of yarn to try and review and, for some reason, I decided last year that it would be a good idea to try as many different mohair yarns available on the UK market as I could.
Many, many swatches later, I’m finally ready to share some of my preliminary findings. I intend to publish a document with reviews of every single yarn I tried later in the year, but I’m hoping this will do for now. The video accompanies a blogpost I’ve also published on my website, which you can read here: the-knit-purl-...
You can find @KarolinesKnits mohair video here: • Mohair yarns and subst...
Just to add, I know the lighting is really inconsistent in this video and I'm so sorry about that! This was my fourth attempt to film it and I couldn't face it a fifth attempt. I hope it isn't too annoying! I am not sure if I mentioned it in the video, but I used the same 5 mm knitting needles to prepare all of my swatches unless otherwise stated.
