Aisha Addo thrives on working to make the world a better place for women. Although a graduate in Business Administration-Accounting, her true passion and dedication lie in ensuring girls around the world are provided with the guidance and resources that help them identify their true purpose and calling to reach their full potential. She founded Power To Girls Foundation, a non-profit organization to offer young girls the mentors and role models that were absent during her own youth. As an award-winning entrepreneur, "MY Power App," the first social connection app for girls to access mentorship and educational resources in a safe online space, is her latest initiative and next step in empowering girls and women around the world.
KARLYN PERCIL
Karlyn is an ancient wisdom teacher, emotional intelligence coach, and social impact innovator who has founded several enterprises including SisterTalk and KDPM Equity Institute. Blending Elemental Knowledge, Ancestral Leadership, and Adinkra Values with Emotional Intelligence, Karlyn guides women, innovative leaders, and social impact leaders to explore their purpose, self-determination, and well-being through the lens of their cultural inheritance.
Her approach, rooted in a community of practice, activates ancestral leadership as a lifestyle and leadership practice. Her passion for sharing knowledge led her to develop transformation tools like The Success System, EQ Clarity Coaching Program, and the Rooted Mind Practice. These tools help women, girls and bold dreamers to create a self-love practice based on curiosity, compassion, and courage, promoting personal growth and flourishing purpose.
Karlyn's roles and creative expressions include Creative Cultural Worker, Psychological Safety and Well-Being Researcher, Facilitator, Host, Speaker, and Chief Equity Officer at KDPM Equity Institute.
KDPM Equity Institute, in partnership with York University, published the first Psychological Safety and Well-Being study centring Black women’s experience in the workplace. Certification programs include EQ Clarity Coaching, LEAP TO Equity, and ancestral leadership.
Featured on Cityline, Oprah's Lifeclass, Globe and Mail, and Chatelaine, Karlyn is currently hosting SisterTalk Retreats and writing "The 12 Principles of Practicing Sisterhood," based on her 13 years of facilitating SisterTalk Circles and amplifying the academic research and lived experience wisdom of Black, Indigenous, Women of Colour.
