I know this is probably not what you are interested in doing but it would be very appreciated if you can do a video on how to create useful fm sounds (pianos, brass, guitars, “classic” synth sounds, etc). It is great that you made this video on how to use this fm synth but many people like myself don’t know how to make actually useful fm sounds. It would add a lot of value if, in addition to showing the functions of this synth, you also show how to make actually useful sounds

Thanks for the comment !! Yes...it is a workhorse synth. Whatever you conventional subtractive synth cannot do, this will. I use like that, use classic synths but there is always some sound where I need to go FM. And if I cannot get the sound I want from my subtractive synth, I go to Opsix or Hydra and get it....

You are so good at teaching and so valuable as a KZitem teacher that I am speechless. Your videos are long and I love this intense study, they are long because they are so complete and well thought out. They are long because you teach without missing important information, other teachers who leave out this important information means we are lost where that info is missing. I am almost in tears having this FM tutorial. I purchased a Yamaha Reface DX a few years back and have struggled with FM since. I understand most of it, but that missing information I mentioned above has been missing. Thank you for filling in all the blanks with this video!!!

I just got one from that sale. Apparently many people have received units from that sale that have defective screens. My screen is black. What looked like a great sale turns out to be Korg unloading a lot of defective units. Very cynical of them and an odd thing to do to your customers. They can be sent back for refund or possibly repaired under warranty. That of course depends on if the screens are available. The global parts shortage might affect this. Very peeved at Korg for this. The synth is excellent though. I’ve gotten quite a bit out of it without the screen and without knowing exactly what I’m doing which is my fave way for learning a synth. I hope that you get one with a good screen.

Hello. I have a Wavestate with customisable knobs on it, and hands on control for many things. I'm planning to buy the opsix too. But I'm not so happy with menu diving, and page related buttons to do the job. In the midi implementation chart it stets what are the mapping for fire cutoff, resonance and fx levels, even some basic envelope stuff. So that's a good start to control it with external gear. However other parameters are not mentioned, and then there is 1--119 assignable to Patch. So if I want to control for example LFO1,2,3 or the pitch of some operators, in order to have them mapped, I have to sacrifice a V-patch slot from the 12 in order to be able to use an external midi gear? Isn't there some default mappings, or isn't there a menu to do the mapping? After all the librarian software is handling all the pot-meters instantly, I know it's probably not over midi :(. So if you have any clue how to have this issue resolved, I would be very interested.

Any ideas on what mod destinations breath control could work well with on the OPSix? Continuously variable controllers don't work with everything.
