Honestly, I think Bronson Pinchot did an awesome job acting as Craig Toomey. This actor looks like Sam Rockwell a bit so I'm really wondering what it would have been if it was him who would have acted Craig Toomey. Sam Rockwell is really good in psycho roles.

We should remember, this isn't Hollywood acting. Hollywood acting is scripted to be "unnaturally perfect and ideal". This is "real life simulated acting". This sounds how normal people talk. There is no time to plan out what you're going to say. So those lines, while they feel all "cheesy", are actually pretty much how a typical human would react in that scenario.

It means she can't smell 'life'. No people cooking fresh food, no jet engines belching out exhaust, and all the other scents of life. Perhaps she was even hinting at the rather unique scent/stench of The Langoliers.

Because it's not lines. It is scripted, yes, but it's scripted to be genius. What we are seeing isn't Hollywood. We are seeing real human interactions, and how people act and talk in such a stressful scenario. Redundant, "cheesy sounding", bad speaking, etc. This feels like real life, which is why it puts many people off, because they are used to ideal perfectness in Hollywood.
@TrailHaunter

@@GnarlyChop I know it's scripted 🤣 but it feels like they're reading lines off a cue card on SNL. I only did theater in high school & on an amateur level BUT, every director I worked with wanted us to rehearse our lines so it felt more real & not like we were "phoning it in"(my high school director's words) the day of.

Because while it honestly "feels cheesy", it's actually genius. In Hollywood movies we get scripted perfection, but humans aren't like that. Real human interactions can be redundant and even be "really badly wrong". In this kind of scenario, people will be even more stressed out, and stumble over what they want to say, so, it actually feels genuine, that's why it feels so "off". Because what we are seeing, is real life interaction in a movie.

I know the girl playing Dinah isn’t doing great, but it worth noting that she is a child actor who is putting on an accent. She is actually English, and her American accent is pretty convincing if you don’t know she’s English. But I think it’s part of the line delivery being even more weird than it already is.

Grammatically, 'really badly wrong' is truffle, but, what's the issue you have? 'It smells wrong'? I don't understand if that's the big which crawled up your arse - it makes sense in regards to what's happening (to them). For anyone who's not familiar, DON'T read any further if your plan to either read the story it watch the telefilm! These people are outside of 'regular time', and there's no smell - not taste, etc - to anything, the further away from regular time it is, but when they bring that (out-of-time) beer on-board, it slowly regains it's taste. So, which is it, and why on earth would you waste you life making such nonsense? Get a life, and fill it with good, productive things - NOTBS.
