It does not bother me if a bus is diesel or electric or not as long as drivers have a job it's because the people say about electrics to charge their phone for them that's why 😮 oh dear gets from a to b ❤

I don't really mind this change-diesels stay until 2027 and Metroline would operate this route well like they have with their other routes.I'm still shocked that it's going from electrics to diesels (I dont mind tbh.And the 28 was on a hybrid contract anyway,so it's not really a downgrade).I hope the 295 can get the OME's (295 is on an electric contract so it should be fine) or retain 452 with them

452 makes sense if OME's are unsuitable for Westbourne Park and may drastically improved by using RATP wouldn't be much slower than Gemini 2, 414 have reliances on planning TfL cut feature opens up lots november monthly issue with 3 year contract.

This is one of my favourite changes of the year, even if I don't like when companies have spare electrics. I think the Metrodeckers are probably going to the 452 though as I don't think RATP want to keep their Streetdecks or B9TLs.

It is because it is cheaper as it was stated that OMEs and electrics in general were too expensive to run on the 28 which was on a hybrid contract.

@@zfs.59ok I understand. Maybe they should consider sometime converting the diesels to electric by doing engine swaps meaning taking the diesel motors out and replacing them with batteries. And that way they don’t have to keep ordering new buses

@@MostlyBuses1in the tender, it was stated that it was too expensive for RATP to run the 28 with the current OMEs considering it was on a hybrid contract using the 13 reg VHs. Ideally, the 28 should have taken up the ex-H91 16 reg VHs and any other spare hybrids (from the 481 especially) for a retain if the 13 regs were the only option for the 220. Its surprising about the 28 result and i wont be surprised if the 49 goes back to Abellio using hybrids such as spare 15/17 reg MMCs off the 350/U5 which have been at QB for 2 years since the U5 got electrics and the rest of the hybrids can come off the 207 which can go part-LT from the 133 until the end of the contract alongside the current E40Ds and Smarts.

The change is brilliant tbh, VWs on the 28 just like the old TT VNs that were allocated until 2021. I did like the 28 with the 13 reg VH as it was nice having G2 hybrids in West (theyre on the 220 which also runs in West but not as a nice route as the 28 as the 220 is slow and the 28 is quite fast and nicer route). I do worry about X as they just have the 13, 23, 295, 414 and 452 and missed out on winning the 328 back recently and the 414 is up for tender and the 452 will be up for tender later this year. I do think OMEs could be placed on the 295 full-time with its BCEs going to any PVR increases at FW and the rest going on the 18 topped up by brand new Electroliners or BYDs for the route. If the OMEs go on the 452, it would be disaster as the 452 could just be lost and would be tough finding another route at X for them as all the others apart from the 23/295 are on hybrid contracts which could lead to more route losses like the 28 so wouldnt be smart.

@@MostlyBuses1the 414s tender should be out soon, i do think itll be on a electric tender with the OMEs and then the ADHs can go to V for the E3 to get rid of the SN60s early rather than waiting for the 266s 62 regs which are unreliable for the route to be lost or retained with electrics tbf. The only option is to put them on the 295 or 414 but 295 is plausible given FW need a few BCEs for PVR increases and the 49 did downgrade to 69 reg BCEs despite being awarded with 71 regs so there shouldnt be an issue with the 295 downgrading to 70/21 reg electrics as its still on a electric contract. I can still see the 452 being retained with the current EvoSetis and 19 reg WHs for 3 years, cant see RATP getting rid of the 19 regs tbh.

@@MostlyBuses1more likely the 295 as FW need extra electrics either way for increases and the 2 of the 295s BCEs are permanently staying at SO due to vehicle shortages. 414/452 are both on hybrid contracts and X would lose both routes if they put the OMEs on it, i reckon the 414 could be retained with them, sending the ex-First 12 reg ADHs to the E3 alongside any spare VHs as most of RATP's own native ADHs are unreliable tbh. I just think the 266s 62 reg ADHs alongside the E3's 60 regs will all be cascaded out of London and RATP just keeping a few 62 regs at V and the 12 reg ex-First ones which are reliable enough.

TFL also uno reversed the E1, having gone from 14 reg E40Hs at TUK to 62 reg ADHs at RATP and now to 12/62 reg VWs at Metroline soon. I wont be surprised if other routes on actual electric contracts like the 49 and 125 just go back to hybrids tbh, i can certainly see the 49 going off to TUK with MMCs if they win it back, maybe the 207 could go part-LT to release its share of 15 reg MMCs to the 49. I can certainly see the 125 heading back to Metroline using EvoSetis tbh off the 4/113 if TFL are really doing 3-year contracts like the 28/E1.
