These places have been replaced by modern dumps full of fellas with big beards, walking around with no socks looking for WiFi.

How come when we didnt have a pot to piss in in the 80's people could still in for a pint, but now when we are supposed to be richer than ever no one can go out? We are a social people, we are losing that.

Great pub, I remember going in there as a kid with my granda, and playing pool down the back against my dad. I even went back there for a lock-in after a debs with one of the owners sons (good few years back). I've nothing but good memories of the place and its a shame to see it go.

Too expensive, ppl expect more for their money than a smelly old room, the smoking ban was used as a "smoke screen" Day time drinking is a thing of the past mainly & no bad thing as families + wives are safer a bit today!

Some of us are thought of as living in KIPS.. That we drink in KIPS.. Say please n thank you in KIPS.. Never got barred from KIPS.. We never pissed on our KIPS.. Now Barrack St. is coming along this last while and that's a good thing I'd think.. If you don't like it don't look at it.. There's always Moks where yer loot is as good as the next fellas. I'm not a Corkonian I'm just from Cork St Dublin. But like them patrons I'm at ease in a workin class KIP.
