Deserves far more fame than he has, but I doubt that bothers him

Played golf with him at Woburn Golf Club with Ian Burns in 2016. He invited us to his concert the following evening at the Stables Theatre, Milton Keynes. Great company on the course and a great entertainer on stage.

The very first song my guitar teacher taught me, once I could play three chords, when I was 7 years old in 1964, was "Ain't That News."

I was one of the many present who sung along with Tom a the Albert Hall to this beautiful song in the sixties (the original version). Why oh why did he feel the need to add the later verse about walking the street and the subway rumbling underground. It doesn't fit. The other verses are so poignant .
