On that ratcheting 15-N-1 there's usually a neutral setting that allows it to perform like a standard screwdriver.

You didn't talk about the reamer? I guess it's not much of a driver, but it took me way too long to realize it doubles as a flat head. Good for you! My dad encouraged me to become an electrician back in the 1970s when women were rare (once again, lots of us during WWII). You have to pick and choose whom to learn from and this channel is an outstanding choice. I really like the emphasis on safety and leaving things in better condition than you found them. I also like Dustin's 'don't be that guy' attitude toward doing work the next tradesman can understand and cope with right out of the box. My parents are gone, I'm running the family firms now - GC, electric/HVAC and plumbing with my brothers. Something I learned as an apprentice has stood me well in hiring to this day: Dudes who have to prove their machismo are death (literally in our profession) on the job. If the guy has a mucho-macho attitude ('120V isn't enough to kill a real man, Dustin mentions that one at least every other video), I don't hire him. If he can't read, no job. Code changes all the time and frequently surprisingly in well-settled areas. You have to stay informed. Best of luck to you - This channel is an inspiration to all of us who strive to be better every day.

My favorite right now is the Milwaukee Electricians Multi Driver. It is the only one I have found that has the “Combi Tips”. Which combines a flat with a Robertsons, and flat. If you look at components in the US and Canada, they all now have a combination head which incorporates the Robertson required under the Canadian Codes, with the flat required under the American Codes. The combi bit, is the choice, because it actually fits the head of all the screws. Second, is the Ideal with the conduit reamer, and the thread chasers.

So I have an 11 in 1 sitting in my vehicle cupholder right now 🤣 Like you I prefer the extended reach model of their screwdriver because I found the shorter one wouldn’t go into breakers fairly consistently. So I was glad when they came out with the longer bit version. I really do like my multinut driver though, but it hasn’t convinced me to take all my long shaft nut drivers out of my bag. I still carry a 1/4” and a 5/16” extra long shaft nut driver because sometimes this multi tool won’t reach into small spaces that I need to get into so you need the longer reach and it’s generally on the smaller fasteners. I also keep a drillbit nut driver for my impact 1/4-3/8” in my bag all the time because I don’t want to dig one out. I still carry a large flat head demolition driver with a metal but cap for just beating on stuff and it’s not even a fancy brand, I think it’s just dewalt... but you always need a tool like that to keep from tearing up the good ones. As for my stubby, I have a teeny tiny little craftsman model that’s nothing more than an knurled piece of aluminum with a quarter inch driver hole in the middle so you can put a bbit in there or an extension. It will make a stubby that is maybe an inch or so long if you just put a little small bit. I really like it and it doesn’t weigh hardly anything. You just have to try hard not to lose it.

The nut driver comes in very handy during commercial remodels of older buildings. I've ran into one job where they seemed to have used every size nut to secure pipe, boxes, etc. The only down side I found about the driver is the weight that it adds to your belt and there have been times when you need the socket to be slightly deeper. Also it does become easier to pull apart once you break it in (or drop it a few times 😂)

Does anyone actually use the torx in the multi screwdrivers? I really wish they would replace the t10 and t15 with more common sizes. I find most screws encountered are t25 and maybe sometimes t27. It almost annoys me when I come across a torx screw and I'm like wait I got that and then pull out the multi to find no I don't have it. I really wish klein and other brands milwaukee etc would catch on that t10 and t15 really aren't common. Like Phillips most are p2 and 2nd would be p1 I think haven't come across many p3 and I just saw a p4 screwdriver recently. I found the 6 in 1 spintight to be the sweet spot a co-worker had the 5 in 1 and I forget what we were doing and of course they didn't have the socket we needed but my 6 in 1 did, the 7 in 1 another co-worker had and I forget what the extra socket was but I don't think they ever ended up using it and was just a waste extra weight and bulk. Its just a pain because most places only stock the 7 in 1 now and you have to search the web for the 6 in 1 and order it.
