Can we do a "where are they now" series in like a year? I want to hear how these changes go and whether they had to adjust along the way. I'm so invested haha

When he cooks, it’s an event. 😆 I understand that.

Best advice I have ever gotten for my crazed family dinner life. Thursday nights are YO-YO dinners. Everyone is “Your On Your Own” for dinner. Only rule is that that everyone has to include fruit/veggies and clean-up after themselves. I love empowering my 10yo and 13yo boys to figure it out.

I love the idea of having just 1 meal a week that kids can help with. I feel so guilty that I don’t include them in the cooking process more often, but STARTING SMALL and finding one meal a week is something I can totally do!

I make a 1 month meal plan then repeat the plan for 3 month. I do have a pizza day and a crockpot day for days that cooking can't be 30 min deal. My kids help top a frozen cheese pizza with pepperoni and veggies. It's their help in the kitchen day

I used to do that exact thing before my kiddos flew the nest … I like to meal plan, so I’d make a big project out of building the seasonal rotation sometime while I was waiting around at kid activities. I even built a grocery store/list rotation to line the meals up with which store carries what, so I wasn’t having to run to two different stores in a week.

Yes, I only let my kids cook/bake with me when I am at my most patient. I want it to end in laughter and not tears so choose my days wisely.

Loved this. What a great way of rethinking meals and what matters most. Also, I never thought of breaking down simple and easy into categories. So good and helpful.

So cool that you came to Marietta! We always get our beans from Cool Beans, they're the best. The Square is one of our favorite things about living in the area, my kids love to play on the little train. Hope you enjoyed your travels, looking forward to my copy of the LGK arriving soon.

If your child doesn’t like black pepper, try white pepper. If she can’t see it, she just may not notice.

Please tell us how to get all the kids on the same page with their food likes and dislikes! I agree, it is super annoying!
