Watch the full restoration video for LCT 7074 showing the journey the Landing Craft Tank has gone on to now be on display at The D-Day Story Museum in Southsea, Portsmouth.
On 6 June 1944, more than 800 Landing Craft Tanks took part in D-Day’s Operation Neptune, the largest amphibious landing in history. Today, LCT 7074 is the only surviving Landing Craft Tank left from this momentous day.
Experts from the National Museum of the Royal Navy and the world of Marine Archaeology worked alongside the D-Day Story museum, to restore this Second World War hero back to her former glory.
