welcome to part six of 'the leaf' a vintage car build
I want to build a 1930's super reliable daily driver, I have a 1936 Austin 12 rolling frame , a 1927 to 1933 Lea Francis roadster dicky body and radiator and for power a 1800 cc Isuzu petrol engine with a 5 speed gearbox..hopefully this will be a very straight forward build and with luck shouldn't take too long, I will be documenting what this costs as we go along but needless to say I will be using INGENUITY OVER BUCKS....
this weeks objective is to fabricate a boot lid frame which will also act as the back on the dicky seat, ill be making it from inch box....I also shape and fit the oak door frames Greg made for me and I manage to skin one of them using the metal from an Austin ten boot lid !
I kick off by removing the engine from my Rover 14 hp chassis i also remove all the scrap bits and bobs from it to ready it for its eventual build...
music this week is from my old band 'the doghouse boatboys' .....enjoy
