I had a similar problem with a weber carb running rich on my Model A Ford. Turns out I needed two fuel pressure regulators to lower the high pressure given by a modern electric fuel pump. Can be checked with a fuel pressure gauge ( this might have been why the Indian carb kept overflowing ). Keep up the good work - best car show on KZitem.

This has piqued my interest in a motor I knew nothing about. I read that the Crosley monobloc rights were sold on in 1952 and the basic design built and developed up to 1972 (mainly as a boat engine) and even ended up as a twin cam supercharged race motor, big hint for the Wragg? At 26 bhp it was much more potent than the A7 out of the box. The Crosley cars it powered were singularly ugly but briefly sold well.
