Honestly, some of the improv showed off great game knowledge we wouldn't have seen if everything had gone perfectly. Great run!

Mad props to the runner for flexing their game knowledge and pushing through every roadblock the category threw at them. Keeping cool and problem-solving on the fly is no easy feat. I honestly enjoy the runs where things go wrong even more than ones that are all smooth sailing. It really highlights the runners knowledge and shows just how difficult these runs are to perform.

The recovery is the most impressive part, honestly. These folks aren't just memorizing the right inputs, they have an understanding of this game's systems that is kind of unreal. It's always a pleasure to see people take a game I love and just completely demolish it, and this is one of the finest examples I've seen yet.

People running Zelda swordless will be hyped to find out what the next Zelda game is all about :D

Ok, I have never watched a speed run before. For some reason it has just never interested me. I keep hearing about this event on my favourite podcast (shout out new game plus podcast) and this is my all time favourite game, so I have bit the bullet. So glad I did, because this is absolutely fascinating to watch! And so calm doing it lol we’ll done!

Andy did a different swordless run in 2017 that does some different glitches and is also very fun.

@@GenerationGamezshould be on this channel. GDQ is very good at archiving their runs. The reverse boss order run by Andy was also very entertaining.

Look up any game you have fond memories of, the older and more popular the better. Look up a speedrun, then look up a speedrun explanation because I guarantee you missed half the tiny tricks they did (like looking certain directions to avoid lag, or avoiding certain invisible triggers)

I remember doing the warp glitch with Link's Awakening back in the 90s and the game getting confused about tiles and collisions like that. But I had no idea LTTP was so breakable too and I certainly couldn't do the routing they do here. This is absolutely beautiful.

This was an incredible watch. I don't think I've ever seen a run that showcased the runner's knowledge of the game like this. Amazingly cool.

My friend loves the hookshot so I had fun telling him about the new (at least to us) glitches. He apparently skipped this one because he's seen so many ALttP runs already. I almost skipped it too. Glad I checked it out.

Reminds me of another run that I think Andy was involved in; "Can we get a donation since we've seen this part already?" Kudos to Glan for understanding the game enough to adjust on the fly and do a whole bunch of extra glitches to get back on the rails

Fun run, y'all! But - I have to ask. In several GDQ runs so far this year there's been this constant clicking sound. What's the deal? Mic issue? Noisy controller?
@glan9

Yea it's from the controller. Some controllers are louder than others.

If a speedrun doesn't specify Glitchless you should always assume they'll use glitches by default
