How could Greg forget Waylon Jennings. LOL. Being at WrestleRock, I always thought the connection was that the Dukes of Hazzard was on before AWA's weekly Sunday Show, here in the Twin Cities. Waylon, of course, is the singer of the theme song and the narrator. Great interview!!

Just when I thought all my bitching would get Greg to stop saying DuPont (Network) instead of DuMont, he did it. He started to say DuPont and finally said it correctly, DuMont. As I take great satisfaction in his finally getting it correct after decades, ten seconds later he says DuPont. You can't win :)

@@georgeschire3590 That's funny, thanks. Coincidentally, just yesterday I heard someone else do it, it was a guest on the Bradshaw/Brisco podcast, I think. The only reason it rankles me is that I consider myself an amateur early TV historian. :) Maybe Greg is using it as his gimmick now, to get heat with us marks. LOL

@@jimh.412 Greg says a lot of BS but on this he's right. Hulkamania started in the AWA. You only have to look at the footage to see the reactions when he was with Bockwinkel. IIRC Hogan just arrived in the AWA when they had a group of wrestlers appear on the Phil Donahue Show.
