Thanks for showing clear images especially the undercarriage. I have not noticed before the under fuselage angles, thickness and panel lines. This is a good reference for me. I haven’t seen clear pictures of the bottom of the studio models. I am curious of measurements of this replica.

Really nice model, but I believe they may have missed some details on the canopy frame but otherwise spot on, although you cannot get much more authentic than the original 1970s kits re-issued by Revell a few years back as I believe they were actually used for some of the motion control shots by in series 👍

That looks superior to the Eaglemoss Viper- I think the Eaglemoss nose is just a little too long. I remember an interview with Richard Hatch seemingly at home with, I believe, this model in the background. Cool to know how much he liked it.

I have seen the same interview with Richard Hatch. Not only did it show the VIPER on a small table behind him, but also the VIPER HELMET!!! I wonder if they were originals or replicas?!!! I have a gut feeling Richard asked GLEN LARSON if he could keep HIS VIPER HELMET!!! After all, he was & is the main star!!! He is CAPTAIN APOLLO for crying out loud!!!

Nice replica, BUT there are serious alignment issues (wings which look really poorly glued and not symmetrical -- shown with the back shot). Perhaps this one was one of the ones that got thrown around, or pulled from the waste bin? That's be my guess...unless the build quality at the end of the company was really that bad. Thanks for sharing.

This looks very cool but I don't understand the "dirty" look on many Viper replicas made. They didn't look that dirty on the shows and any military would never allow their ships to be this dirty. Not to mention they wouldn't get this dirty with their combustion system since it wouldn't be like any sort of internal combustion system and fuel that we are familiar with. It would have to be very clean burning fuel that would leave literally no residue since it would be all burnt up. Even our known engines and fuel wouldn't be strong enough to power a Viper in space as they have on the shows. Oh well, suspension of belief is a large part of accepting and enjoying Sci-Fi shows it's just that 3 engines that look like "Jet" styled Engines that require oxygen to function when in space there is no oxygen seemed a bit unrealistic. I will admit, however, that the Colonial Viper is one of the coolest looking spacecraft ever made. Ironically, a close 2nd is the Cylon Raider LOL. But wings in space are pretty useless LOL.

I enjoyed seeing one of these as they are as rare as rocking horse crap, BUT 'Viper Mark 1'? No Mark was ever attributed to the Viper from the original series. This is a schoolboy error, and you should be ashamed of yourself! ;) The actual piece itself shows some warping on the detail. I'm looking at my Monsters In Motion Studio Scale Viper, and it looks better than the Icons one.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again! If 'that' Colonial Viper had been MINE, There is abso-freakin-lutely, NO WAY, it would've stayed in a DISPLAY CASE, it would've been totally COVERED in fingerprints. MY fingerprints! I simply could not restrain my inner Colonial Warrior, from flying it around my room, while I'm watching "Saga Of A Star World!" Or being the 'lucky' wingman, to Lt. Athena, or any of those other smokin' hot female Viper Pilots in "Lost Planet of The Gods!" (Hey! With all of the Male Pilots stuck in life station, because of that 'bug' that made them all sick, I would've been in total glory! LOL)
