On the Lemo, you can actually replace the filling screw by a kind of "crown-shaped silicon gasket". You'll find it in the box (same place as the spare gaskets). It's got a kind of pin that you can press in the filling hole. It's much more convenient than the screw - you don't need a screwdriver to refill - and also better for sealing.

I'm so glad I bought this 2 months ago. and even better Rip approves it! I've had no problems what so ever with this model. but i highly recommend using the silicone seal cap instead of the screw. the screw will let some liquid out but after using the silicone cap that's included with it I've had absolutely no leakage! great video Rip!

You failed to mention my favorite feature. The rubber ring filler-cap that eliminates the screw. It never leaks and now you're tool-free. I've had the Lemo about 2 months and it still impresses. I prefer the airfloe about half closed, better flavor and can still lung hit.

Got my black Lemo today to sit on my gunmetal DNA 40. The glass tank issue has either been fixed or rip just got a bad one. Mine has nice rounded smooth polished ends. Built a 28g (kanthal) parallel dual coil, 12 or 13 wraps each, came out at 1.23 ohms. Organic cotton ball wicking. Once the wick got worked in, I have been able to chain vape 35 watts with max vg (virgin vapor) juice, with no dry hits. 40 watts without chain vaping is just fine. Wide open at higher wattages is where this thing shines. The flavor comes alive and vapor production is crazy for a tank. All in all I don't regret my purchase in the slightest.

If anyone comes across this video and like me were worried about dry hits, before you rage hard - try this. 1. Don't fill it right to the very top, leave at least some air in the top of the chamber. 2. If you do fill it too far, and you're getting a dry hit, cover all 4 air holes and give it a light suck. When you suck it, you'll see that there's air bubbles popping up from the juice grooves. You create negative pressure which is *required* in order for it to wick. Just the way the build is makes it necessary to have that pressure there to force the juice into the chimney. I haven't had a dry hit since, and if I feel like it's not juiced enough, I give it a very light pull without firing and holding the air holes closed. If you do that, you'll never have a dry hit ever again.

With four 2mm air-holes there's no way that's not going to decrease your flavor, I would put my orchid v2 up against the lemo any day and while it may produce 5-10% less vapor (which to me is a negligible difference) I would bet anything it makes significantly sharper and more intense flavor

The flavor difference is so amazing I still can't believe it. You get the full notes and flavors that you haven't had before. The tank is smooth and the hit is remarkable. I don't think I will ever use another RDA. I couldn't ask for more. It's night and day difference. I can't say enough of hiw great this unit is. My ipv3 loves it! Bought this two weeks ago. The flavor is night and day compare to my Kay-fun. Also I love the fact that I don't need to carry around a screw driver anymore to fill it since. Comes with a plug. The Orchid is under $20, has dual coil, 4 channels, stock airflow vapes like a train. Handles 80/20 with no dry hits. This thing is single coil and overpriced IMO. The orchid v4 holds 7ml of ejuice. I hope you realize, these tanks are not designed, nor will they work on low watt(15 and under) mods. Even the Nautilus Atlantis is using 20 watt battery or 18650 mod.

Just grabbed the Lemo RTA from Knoxville Vapor and love this thing! I'm vaping some Five Pawns Black Flag Fallen (killer juice btw) with it, and the flavor is amazing IMO. And the price, definitely worth the price for what you get. In RiP Trippers review of the Lemo, he shows that the Pyrex glass tube has some chips and rough ends. The one I have have very smooth edges with no chips.. which I was thinking about when I purchased it. When I inspected the glass tank on my Lemo, there were none of the 'flaws' RiP had shown in his review. Not a big deal, but was happy to see the quality being improved. As for tank atty's, I also own the Aspire Atlantis. I have pretty much stopped using the Atlantis, for the time being. The vape quality of the Lemo IMO is hands down, much better than the Atlantis. I am by no means going to bash on the Atlantis, as it's an amazing product itself. But the Lemo is my new tank atty of choice. Anyone looking for a very nicely priced RTA, I would definitely recommend the Eleaf Lemo.

A few important points to be aware of: Because the glass(pyrex?) has no threads, nothing holds this think together except the top being screwed to the base through the chimney. This means you can forget about filling in any other way other than via the super annoying, tiny and hard to reach phillips screw at the base. You'll NEED a needle tip to fill it without making a mess. It also means that if you decide after filling that you need to re-wick (as I have done multiple times) , you can prepare for a big mess. As soon as you unscrew any portion of the tank, the whole thing basically falls apart, leaking e-liquid everywhere. All of this could have been solved with threads on the glass/pyrex! The Lemo lacks thorough design consideration. It does, however, perform beautifully once fully assembled.

Rip, I am fairly new to the vape scene. I started at the end of Apr. '15 and have not smoked a cigarette since the second week in May. Started with a simple starter kit from the local smoke shop. It leaked, got the juice in my mouth it was horrible. Then someone turned me onto the Aspire Atlantis and I bought the platinum kit from an online site www.mtbakervapor.com/e-cig-starter-kits/aspire-platinum-starter-kit/. Now the Atlantis is an awesome tank, but i have tried the drippers starting with the IGO-W Plus. Checked a few builds and this is how I found your site for coil building. And you may ask, Mike why do you need anything other than the Atlantis? Glad you asked... I have weened myself from the 18mg nicotine down to 0. And now I'm on max VG. So the coil sometimes doesn't keep up with my deep lung hits and I get a nasty burnt taste occasionally. That's why i found this and bought the Lemo. I don't like having to continually drip so the RTA was a way for me to have the tank and a wick. BUT......the lemo does not keep up with the lung hits at all. If I mouth to lung it's ok but I am finding myself to be a cloud chaser so deep long lung hits are my favorite. My question what are my options for a system that I can get that I can use with the DNA 40/Aspire CF Sub Ohm that will allow the deep hits I crave without losing flavor and giving me a burnt taste?

+faerychildmusic So the workers at at a website recommended me this tank, or the version 2 for my use. I said that I needed a RBA, mouth to lung, smal air-flow and not wide drip tip. I just started to quit smoking. I use high nicotine strengh, so I cannot use a tank with a lot of air flow/huge clouds. The nautilus is perfect, but they don't have it in RBA. So I'm watching this and first thing he says: This is for lung hitters! Huge clouds! I don't know what I believe. I guess I take Riptrippers word. Can you recommend a RBA that is pretty similar to Nautilus? The reason I want a RBA is because rebuilding coils is a pain.
@faerychildmusic
9 жыл бұрын
Go for it, especially if it's your first foray into rebuildables. It's easy as hell to work with. I haven't tried the Lemo 2 yet, might eventually though.
@kikkibergen
9 жыл бұрын
faerychildmusic It's probably easy to work with, but there is no point in using it, if the airflow is to huge. I vape with a 16mg nicotine. tanks that produce much vapor is just to strong for me. That's why I like the Nautilus. It's pretty neutral. I already got 2 tanks that produce a lot of vapor. The iJust 2 and the Subtank mini. The Subtank is also RBA. So no point in buying another tank that produce alot of vape, when I need something that don't. If you understand.
@faerychildmusic
9 жыл бұрын
Perfectly understandable. I vape at 24mg and can handle the harder hit, then again I come from smoking pipes and cigars so I'm used to things stronger than usual. I don't even notice the throat hit when I vape on juices that have 50% vg content or higher. In the end it's all subjective. Everyone has their differing tastes.

The Orchid has a Plumeveil deck and i find it extremely easy to build and fill, no stupid fill screws just pop the lid and fill. I find the build quality to be better than Lemo and can compete with the Kayfun. So IMO If I had to purchase another RTA I would recommend the Orchid although the price point of the Lemo is extremely competitive.

Can't wait to get there and build and vape them. I think since Rip is a single coiler, he is a bit bias on this unit. Personally, I like the option, and the Orchid gives you that. With the Orchid, I don't see any necessity for airflow adjustment, since it hits like a train stock. Not to mention, the Orchid's can be purchased at less than half the price of this Lemo. The V4 holds 7ml of fluid, what else could you ask for? Until today, I had not heard of the big budha or the Lemo. If I can get one down the road for comparable cost to the Orchid, maybe I will give them a try, but chances are I won't. Thanks for the review anyway. I still find it odd that he compares this RTA to the Orchid, without mention of which version, or have never seeing a review from him on any of the Orchid tanks.

No .. *Orchid V4* is considerably better than the Lemo. The Lemo is also 23 mm and doesn't fit flush on your 22 mm Mods.

Kind of suprised you didn't use a Nickel coil in this RIP. You only used Kanthol in your coil building demo for this device. Believe me I share you love of the temerature control of the DNA 40 chip. I don't understand for the life of me why people think they need 150+ watts of power. I mean how many cloud chasers are out there? Anyway I just got my Lemo and the temperature control with Nickel wire works perfectly. Nice vapor production with a very pure flavor. Might be a little hard for a true beginner to get a nice Nickel coil wrapped on this device, but it's worth the extra effort. For the cost this is a great product for those who don't like to drip all the time.

RiP Trippers I'm using my ipv3, 8.50v, 30.0W, 3.53ohms (high ohm but amazing), but I'm getting the best taste, big clouds, and I can't stop taking a hit off of it.

Are you possibly doing a review of the Aspire Atlantis? I am interested in what you might think, before I make up my mind.

RiP Trippers Good review as usual. Next time, I suggest you look at the EH Pro Big Buddah, its A LOT better than the LEMO, hands down.

Sure orchid and Lemo RTA can beat kayfuns on clouds but nothing in the market that can still kill the Kayfun on flavors. Airy airflow reduces the flavor.

Great vid. I'm more of a sit and vape vs building/dripping/working...I like the aspire stuff, all vape no work, but am concerned about the whole wicking material thing. Next to the Lemo, could you recommend something that's more of what I'm looking for?

Hey Rip if you want the best long inhale rta in kayfun style, take a look at the the vapor giant Mini V2 from niko Vapor, for about 80€ it is the best kayfun style rta ive ever tryed. And you cant talk about rta`s when you never tryed a original flash e vapor, ok it costs about 115€ but its simply the best ;) Greetz from Germany Chris

Just got a Lemo and it came with a flat circular silicone plug arrangement that appears to be an alternative to the drip hole screw. The pack containing the o rings has the spare pole screws PLUS a larger one that fits the fill hole. Must be something they have included since this review? Obviously some folks don't like to have to insert a screw each time they fill up and prefer to just plug it up using the silicone "plug". Anybody else had this with their new Lemo as of March 2015?

Dimitri Milewicz I like the silicone plug, it is much quicker to remove to fill than unscrewing a screw. Mine has leaked on me once...it was left on it's side for about 30 minutes. The leak was slight and cleaned up in seconds.
