He didn't leave a note but I've always believed the gsw to the chest was intentional. I'm sad for him & his family, but glad they donated his brain to science and increased awareness of CTE. I lived in San Diego and dude was a legend there. He's still greatly missed.

Dave Duerson also shot himself in the chest because he wanted his brain preserved and examined. He had CTE. He is best remembered for being part of the 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl XX championship team.

I thought Junior did leave a note explaining why he did what he did, so his brain would be intact for scientists to study for CTE or anything else? Either way, very sad & I pray he is at peace!🙏

That's what worries me about MMA. I don't like Jake Paul, but his calling out Dana White for not financially supporting some of his fighters better is utterly legitimate, in my opinion. (I'm not talking about Conor McGregor).

Tua, please pay close attention to what CTE did to this once great player 🏈 and terrific human being. He should be an example of why you should retire - now. I'm sure your friends and family would greatly appreciate it. Seriously, is the money 💲💲💲 really worth your health?

I remember him well. Such a sad ending. But if I could quote what Gandalf said to one of the little Hobbit-sees when the little hobbit said, "I didn't think it would end like this." And Gandalf replies, "End?! This isn't the end..." And Gandalf proceeds to tell him about the other side, and white shores, and so forth and such. Eye hath not seen.... 😄

Although not a fan of the franchises that he played for throughout the course of his two decade-long career, I was a huge Junior Seau fan because he earned my respect as a result of his gameplay, work ethic and character! When the news of his death broke, it literally knocked the wind out of me like someone punched me in my solar plexus! The only other athlete's premature death that affected me at least as profoundly was Walter Payton's (for reasons very similar to Seau's)
